Steel Battalion - Xbox

Who in their right mind would spend $200 on a game?....

well, I think I am

After playing it at E3 with the super duper joystick/pedal setup (tm), I think I'm hooked.

Although I have to admit I'm a sucker for gadgets and god knows that unless there's going to be a Steel Batallion 2 it won't see the light of day again but yet I'm still geeked about this.

Anyone else?

I.........

Same here!!!!!!

I want to get this game so badly. I'm not sure if it's worth it.

I wish there were other games in the horizon that supports this huge controller. I can't see buying this huge controller for only one game!! If there were at least 5 games than I would consider buying this set.

I bought it... can't wait... I've spent 200 bucks on dinner before and that ends up as poop (yeah, felt like I should say that again).

I am getting it but my doubts are more about what I am going to do with such a huge controller than the price. I have enough games cluttering my room without adding this beast but I am an addict and have to try this game out.

I heard they were making a part 2 for the game. So at least there would be another game to use the controller for.

Does anyone know if this game will be available by itself for use with a controller. I really do want to play the game, but I can't justify paying $200 for one game.

The game only comes with the controller, you cannot play the game without the controller.

Read this in the new EGM as well, you are SOL without the controller.

BTW, the box it comes in kicks ass

If you can find it, and I doubt it will be 150.

I would say, the box, the controller, the game, the whole freaking idea and implementation all kick ass.

Only the price tag doesn't kick ass, hehe.

I have mine on preorder for the second wave of this game for Dec. 3. What sucks is none of the stores are going to stock it. They say it's too big and expensive so it's only for preorders.

It's a shame that you couldn't use the controller for MechAssault as well...

As already stated before, 50 for the game, 150 for the controller. And yep, the whole freaking everything kicks ass. Should have seen the looks inside and outside of the store as I was walking away. Everyone was asking if they could play a SB demo, I was walking out the store with it

Only played it about 10 mins though, from what I played, I wasn't let down.

Took me about 3 to 5 mins to assemble the controller and I was being super careful. Easy to assemble as well. Even comes with a little wrench underneath the main console to screw down the unit.

Like I said, played it about 10 mins, I need to get used to the control scheme but I did manage to take out a few VT's and 2 planes carpet bombing the training facility I'd play more but I'm dead tired and sick

Check Ebay, ones going for 275 right now, another is dirt cheap but will most likely pass 200 in the next couple days or so.

I'm thinking this could be an item that sells for double what it cost in a year or two. Limited release things like this usually become very collectible.

I don't give a crap about Mech games, but Steel Battalion is very cool. I wish more companies would give gamers an "ultimate experience" type of game in other genres.

I won't be able to play it this morning, forgot I was taking my daughter to an amusement park, but I came out and touched the controller
