Welcome to 1999
Just joking.. have fun with it. I got bored with this game a LONG time ago. Got back into it with MAX I thought the freeze arrows were a neat addition (something the game desperatley needed) and there were some actual good songs in it (some trance). Then MAX 2 came out and nothing new. And every new song was euro-trash once again. Hear they're already planning 8th and 9th mix. Sheesh. The Solo game was awesome, with the 6 arrows, but apparently nobody could handle it, so they axed it.

So the old dancepads should work, right? They're not coming out with some PS2 only pad, are they?
Is it just DDR with a LOT more songs? I can't imagine the graphics improving all that much...
Lastly, is it priced at normal non-Sony retail (50 bucks) or cheaper?

It retails at $39.99, and you can find the song list here:

Old dance pads work...
The graphics? Who ever really see them anyways? But this is one of the biggest versions ever, 71 songs...bigger than any of the Japanese releases. And there are a few songs (about 20?) unique to this version. Pixy, this version is not a copy of DDRMAX arcade if I understand correctly...it's the same in name only.
And TRU is getting it in, so you can do to B2G1Free deal, an employee there today told me to just being back a game and exchange it when it comes in.
