Gamestop.com has three bundles up, they aren't that great unless you want a free cd or free shipping.

The proxy at work keeps giving me cached copies of my first post, so if I'm not paying attention I end up editing old ones and deleting some information. I hope it hasn't confused anybody.

yes... You need to know someone who works there. (not being a smart-ass) They can buy up to something like $10,000 (retail) a year. I got XPpro from a friend for $30. Xbox games use to be $10, now they're $20.
Good Luck,

I was in EB today, and i had misread the sign. The deal is buy the bundle and any Xbox game and receive up to a $30 rebate. The sign says that you get 3 games free...two of them are those included in the bundle and the other one is only free if the game happens to cost $30. It's also unclear if the game has to be $30 to get $30 back, but given that the wording says you get up to $30 back, use your best judgment. Horrible, horrible wording.
In any case, after tax this is about on par with the buy.com deal. The difference is you get the system in hand and don't have to worry about problems with buy.com or with the shipping...but you have to wait for the rebate. A toss-up, but I've got one sitting in my truck right now.

Target is giving out a free control. It's in their flyer for this week which I got in the Washington Post this morning.
It's a Mad Catz controller.
Also Best Buy is giving 25% off any X-box accessory when you purchase the bundle. That might be more interesting for those with no interest in the Mad Catz controller, but want to pick up another Type S or an original X-box controller. I imagine it will work on A/V packs and DVD remotes as well.

I already had the Target deal, but thanks for the Best Buy one. Though the EB one is a lot better if you want another game besides the pack ins.

Halo wouldn't load, and Oddworld's FMV skipped. The console tries to tell me the discs are scratched or dirty, which is of course BS. I exchanged both for new copies, and it did the same thing.
