That story is so beautiful. I have a tear in my eye right now. It's like this forum's own 'Bridges of Madison County'.

My wife originally wasn't into video games until I got the PS2. We play DOA2, NBA Street, SSX, and Tony Hawk 3. She can't get into a majority of the games I have, especially stuff like TMB or Red Faction. She's actually very good at DOA2 and NBA Street - she's almost unlocked all of the courts!

My wife suprises me with cool things like that sometimes. It's the greatest. Here are some of the things she has handed to a completely suprised me after returning from shopping:

N64 with Shadows of the Empire and Turok
Star Wars Imperial Walker toy (The big one)
Voodoo3 video card (Nice card back in the day)
GeForce 4 Ti4400 video card
Several computer games

I saw her first. When she sent me some stuff I requested from E3, I almost proposed to her then and there.

Funny thing is that she suprised me again after work today. She picked me up a 15 pack of Guinness from Sam's Club on her way home because she thought I'd like to have some while watching football tonight. She rules.

My soon to be wife is now into video games more than she ever was before. She keeps bugging me about buying her a gamecube, and an Xbox. She kills me at Dead Or Alive 2-3! And I even bought her a Neo Geo Mini Arcade Cabinet for her favorite games. Mark of The Wolves, Puzzle Bobble, Super Dodge Ball, and Samurai Shodown 2 are her games. I am just glad she can relate to my obsession with games

My wife was sorta into games when we met and I was really into games. Now, she's a hardcore gamer (has even done freelance for EGM) and I'm into DVDs. She's hogging the main TV with FF8 right now.

I can't get away at night until I play "Dead or Alive 2:Hardcore" with mine. I ask myself, "When the hell did this happen and why can't I beat her!"

Leave out the "Dead or Alive 2:" and this would belong in the mature forum.

100% exact same here.

My wife got me a PS2 when I graduated from law school, which was totally cool, though she has ZERO interest in playing it. I tell her it's mainly "for the kids," but I don't think I'm fooling her...

My fiance doesn't say anything about the size of my video game collection, and I don't say anything about the size of her shoe collection. It works out well.

Good one juiio!!

I was about to get rid of DOAX volleyball when my girlfriend REALLY got into it (the buying of gifts and all..) .

Besides, it gives her a break from Medal of honor online for the PC (she's a real good sniper, I'm worried hehe).

Man this is an old thread. Weird to see a thread I started so long ago come back to life.

Anyway, I think my wife plays my Xbox more than I do. She bought DOA Xtreme Beach Volleyball last week, and she won't stop playing! I would have never thought she'd even want to have that game in the house, let alone go out and buy it herself. Can't say I mind though.
