Fighters?!? What does that have to do with this thread?

If you could just stop laughing, everybody's posts in this thread are easily understandable. Take your time and read them again. Here are the key points...

nephews... 10 and 12 years old... like racers and extreme/boarding games... these categories are the biggest factors... needs advice

*****

Recommending PS2 to this thread's author on the basis of its racing games is the videogame equivalent of malpractice. Nothing you can write will make me retract that statement, and bringing up other genres is just so incredibly nonsensical that I don't know what to say.

Since I can't make my opinion any clearer, I'll be adding nothing further to this thread.

ATV Offroad Fury is a fun game that I always considered a racing game. it also is a greatest hits game and $19.99.

look for yourself. the PS2 has many racing style games and i am sure people would find fun racing games to play on the PS2- I think you might be surprised how much even a kid might like GT3.

I hope they like whatever console you end up getting them

"nephews... 10 and 12 years old... like racers and extreme/boarding games... these categories are the biggest factors... needs advice"

and I still say the PS2 would be the best choice and it is not malpractice. It is called an opinion. most people in this thread agree that the PS2 is the best overall choice. sorry to disagree mr.snowmizer.

They tried to warn me about this subforum...

Play nice guys; any and all comments are appreciated, and there's no single right answer--or I'd know it already. I'm incredibly wise about such things.

Thanks to all who have offered their suggestions.

it is all in fun to most of us. We are talking about games aren't we

A few take it too seriously

Now that mature forum- I hear they get real heated in that subforum

why u little sh*T!

who do you think you are saying whats what?

your nobody.

get the PS2 for your nephew, he will love the PS2 race games and will grow to like other genres too, and when the PS3 comes out it will almost certainly be backward compatible with all his PS2 games.
