Well, Project Phoenix was actually sort of unofficially announced a while ago as what I described above. I think it was in some NG issue a while back, although I'm not too sure. So in terms of what I know, it's just about as much as anyone else who's done a little research.

But no, it's not a FPS.

And I'm sure they'll make good use of the Halo engine in PP, as they should have quite a bit of time to tweak it.

Hopefully Halo 2 will be using a totally new engine. I'm sure it will, though.

Anyone hear about this "halo babies" thing??

Is this a joke, or is this for real?

Halo Babies was an April Fools joke.

Pimps at Sea looks like another Bungie killer app!

If only they spent more time working and less time goofing around...

So is Halo Babies really a joke or not?

At "xboxgamers.com", they now say that Halo Babies was originally an April Fools Joke, but is now a reality...

According to them, we'll see Halo Babies cartoon, along with Halo Babies for GBA from THQ, and Halo Babies Racing for Xbox from Bungie... ?!

I know one thing.

Often in sequels they take out some of the best things the previous game had.

i.e. Soul Reaver on Dreamcast allowed one to drain poeple to boost lifeforce. The sequels leave this cool feature out.

I HOPE HALO 2 will still allow bashing of enemies, Sniping, and other great features.

The way First Person Shooters are made, typically they add more features rather than take any away.

I would love it if they added binoculars of some sort, not necessarily for sniping, but for just checking out what was somewhere, or figuring out a strategy...

I think it was pretty deliberate for them to not include that because in order for you to be able to use the binocular function, you had to have either a pistol or a sniper gun - if the guns were empty, then you have a choice to make... keep the ability to see far away and only have one working firearm or lose the empty weapon and the ability to zoom in and pick up something else. It certainly made the gameplay more interesting. If you could just be able to zoom willy-nilly, then that would be less challenging I think.

Sniping, of course, will still be in there considering this is an FPS game. Bashing should still be in there too, since it was an alternate way to kill enemies (sneak behind to bash for a one hit kill). Not to mention it was the only thing you could do if you ran out of ammo.

I don't really know what they could leave out in the sequel. I know of a couple things that were missing though! hint hint: A deeper multiplayer mode!

I've never played multiplayer mode.

Don't worry, you weren't missing too much. Some stuff came out fine w/o any fancy multiplayer features. Such as Rockets only in Battle Creek & Longest and Sniping only in Hang em High. But considering Halo didn't have online capability yet, they should've added much more than this.

Customizable multiplayer games was great. Bots should've been implemented. More playable multiplayer maps. Basically, everything Perfect Dark had.

I'd like to see them add the ability to play multiplayer cooperative on different TV screens. Right now you have to play split-screen in cooperative mode.
