Medal of Honor: PS2 vs. X-Box

Does anyone know how different Frontline will be on X-Box from the PS2 version? It's $10 off this week at Best Buy but I was planning on waiting until the X-Box version came out to see how they compared.

Probably the same as other PS2 to Xbox ports. Everything is pretty much very similar except for tweaking in graphics and DD 5.1 on the xbox version.

BTW, MOH: Frontline is part of MOH and MOH: Underground from PSOne while MOH: Allied Assault is based on another character. So MOH: Frontline follows the originals.

All of them are excellent games though!

From interviews a few months ago when it was still unclear whether Xbox was going to get Frontline or Allied Assault, it was said that a Frontline port would be upgraded much more than EA's typical port from PS2.

That, however, is not saying much.

Interesting.... There is no PC version of Frontline (just like there is no PS2 version of Allied Assault). They are two completely different games.

Let's stay on topic. MOH: Frontline on PS2 vs. X-Box. That's it. This has nothing to do with PC gaming.

You're right - Frontline and Allied Assault are two different games... I should've said I found AA to be better than Frontline. I didn't mean to steer the thread off topic, I just wanted to interject my opinion about Medal of Honor. Maybe he hadn't thought of the PC version before, and if that's the case I think it's worth mentioning. Anyway, I'm sorry. Back on topic - I haven't played the Xbox version, but I can only assume that it's going to be roughly the same but it may look a little better and it will have 5.1 sound which is a huge plus for this type of game.

Given the time between releases, the X-box and Gamecube versions of Frontline should have better graphics and maybe some extra features. Plus I think the control will be better because it sucks when the analog sticks are side by side. I like the staggered ones on the X-box and GCN much better.

The problem with this is the wait. I've already beaten this game on the PS2, so how good the Xbox version is won't matter. I'm not playing the same game all over again.

Well regardless, would you buy any game twice?

The thread starter probably has patience to wait for the better version. That's also probably why he started this thread.

I'm actually impressed with xbox enough to wait on this game instead of buying the ps2 version. just hope the wait is worth it!

I will be waiting to get the XBOX version. My bro-n-law has it on PS2 and I love it! But I am hoping the graphics and AIMING get tweeked a bit. I have had trouble hitting the targets on the PS2 version...

-just a personal opinion-

Yeah, the aiming cursor moves slow as hell on the PS2 version, at least in the deom anyway.

I was especially having trouble with the MP-40(?). The plot and action is so good you dont notice too much. Maybe im just spoiled by Max Payne and HALO.
