So where's the best place to buy a gamecube now?
Amazon has a starter pack for $190 that has the deck, 2 controllers and a memory card. I guess I'll need 2 controllers anyway, so is this my best option? Or should I wait until triple points weekend at sam goody and buy t then?

I wouldn't get that deal for a few reasons:
1) instead of getting an extra controller as part of that deal, you should spend the money on a wavebird controller instead which iirc costs the same as a normal controller
2) the memory card they give you is most likely a memory card 59. for five bucks more, you can get a memory card 251 which has a lot more space.

Keep in mind that Wavebird doesn't rumble. Most people will tell you that that doesn't matter because the wireless feature is so damn awesome but it's something to consider. Also, you definitely will want a Memory Card 251 unless you only plan on playing a few games.
I don't know what the best place to get the system is but I believe Best Buy has a pretty good deal this week -- if you buy 2 games you get $10 off. I think one of the games might have to be Super Smash Bros. Melee or Resident Evil but that's no big deal since those are 2 of the best games anyway.

Is it two extra controllers, or the one included with the GC, and one extra. Because if it's the latter, you aren't really getting a deal:
GameCube: $150
Controller: $30
Memory Card: $10
Total: $190
GameCube: $150
Controller: $30
Memory Card: $10
Total: $190
