Some PC fanboys just need to have sex with their computers and get it over with already.

I thought it was funny, and I wouldn't trade my mac for a PC for anything.
Everyone's frame of reference is funny. I often run 8+ programs at a time(PS, Director, Illustrator, Flash, etc.). I get my work done twice as fast on the mac than the PC.

And no, I don't use my mac for gaming, that is what my Xbox, and Gamecube are for. I'd rather loaf around on the sofa for hours playing games than spend that same amount of time in an uncomfy office chair at a desk.

And there is no "FANBOY" here, I've used PCs 5 times longer than my mac(15 years vs. 3). And if this thread weren't meant for a thread crap, then I really can afford that $4000 machine. And maybe an iPod to go with it.

Mac users are the ones who buy cute little curvy computers in pretty colors. If anyone is going to be sexing up their computers, it's them.

hehe, that was pretty funny.

I bet you guys didn't know that Bungie, the company that developed Halo, uses Macs. If you don't believe me here is the proof, taken of the bungie studio by gacadvanced during the Xbox media bootcamp (with permission of course, thats why its a far shot where you can't really see anything, but that definitely a mac) :

Actually, I think Halo was originally announced for the Mac. Anyone know if I am right?

actually Mac users are far more fanatic than PC's users are.

Of course if you know of a nice add on to allow people to have sex with their computers you could make millions selling to both Mac and PC users

No - it was originally announced for the PC. I had been following that game for a long time before it was announced as an Xbox exclusive.

The reason you see a mac there is either so they can do textures... it's not a powerful computer or anything, it's just an old imac... it's not one of the G4s or whatever. So it's either so they can do textures or so they can check email or just have another workstation. I'm sure whoever's cubicle that is is just comfortable using a mac. Alot of graphic artists learned on a mac.

There are PCs in the background in other cubicles, so that's where other design elements happen like programming and rendering and 3d elements and compiling. The only thing that imac would've been good for is creating textures - 640x480 images that get draped over the landscapes and such.

No, Halo was originally announced for Mac and PC. Bungie was one of the larger Mac game developers. That's why people were pissed when Microsoft bought Bungie.

Those stupid Apple commercials, with the assorted people just standing there, telling their stories are the worst. Is almost like they want to say "I have no desire to know how my computer works so I bought this one. It's idiot proof".....

That's what the mass market is made up of though. Thus the adds, trying to reach out to those users.

That's funny stuff!! My favorite "real" switch commercial is the guy talking about his daughter waking him up because the printer wouldn't work. Then he talks about opening the machine up and swapping cards and such just to get it to work. In my 15+ years of using computers, I don't recall ever swapping a "card" to get my printer to work

I'm pretty sure (having read MacWorld magazine for a couple of years) that the more popular games on the PC come out roughly 5-6 months on the Mac. And I know Return to Castle Wolfenstein had the capability to access PC servers for multiplayer. I haven't heard if it works or not.

Of course if anyone asked, I would certainly recommend that they not buy a Mac specifically for gaming, but there are great games available for the Mac, albeit later than their PC counterparts.

creationism vs. evolution
great taste vs. less filling
pc vs. mac
