For those who don't remember it, Dragon's Lair was a major inovataion at the time. In the game you guided a knight named Dirk the Daring through an animated maze to resuce the fair Princess Daphne from a terrible fire breathing dragon. It was the first game to utilize the "laser disc",eventhough the laser disc was primarily used for watching movies this was a precusor of things to come.

Now Dragon's Lair is returning this time if 3D. In this months Play Magazine there are screenshots of the new Dragon's Lair game that will be available this fall for PS2. The game goes the route of Cel-Shading, to maintain it's cartoonish look.

The screen shots were pretty impressive. Now if the game play is equally good then this will be an excellent title.
