new ps2 game on ign.com

IGN's got something on a new game called 'mark of kri'. The article is insider only though. Has anybody read the article or know anything about the game?

"A completely free-moving 3D action-arcade game, The Mark of Kri focuses on Rau, a Conan-style barbaric warrior and his spiritual familiar, the large black bird, Kuzo."

"Using a clever weapon-based combat system rife with progressively more powerful armaments, Rau's intuitive fighting abilities enable players to battle against various "denizens of the dark" to progress. Gamers will battle hundreds of enemies in these gorgeously animated, vibrantly colored environments."

Supposedly the next big thing from SCEA.

Sounds like 8-eyes from back in the NES days... using a familiar...

It sounded a little like Banjo Kazooie to me at first. You play as a big oafish barbarian with a little bird sidekick. Well... maybe it remains me of Beastmaster. Anyway, they have ONE screenshot and no clue of how the gameplay will work.

ICO WAS the "Next big Thing". It was great, and has an atmosphere unlike any other.

Well, Mark of Kri isn't here yet. Hopefully it will make ICO the previous big thing.

Dear lord please no!!!

I guess I shouldn't worry too much as I think it is technically impossible to make a game worse than RUNE, at least the PS2 version.
