This thread is not meant to promote Insider service from IGN in any way, shape, or form. Only to inform IGN insiders that haven't heard about it yet.

This looks like a sweet deal if you normally rent at least 2 games a month:

http://www.redoctane.com/ign-insider.html

- Unlimited Game Rentals for only $9.95 a month*. Have up to 1 game out at any one time.
- No Due Dates for Game Rentals and No Late Fees.
- Free 2-way Shipping to your door.

The selection is great, but the huge drawback I see is the low quantities of the available games meaning long wait times.

Has anyone used RedOctane before?

How could this possibly work? You pay $10/month and you can copy all the games you want? (of course who'd do that? I'm sure everyone wouldn't copy the games)...

I'm sure some people would take advantage that way, but only for games that can be copied.

Xbox and Gamecube owners don't have that ability.

And what's the point really? You can already keep the game as long as you want and you cannot sell the copy (unless you want to get busted).

That might be a pretty good deal if the IGNInsider status was included as part of the package.

Yeah, well it is... You have to become a member to get the deal!

Also they have 2 games for 16 bucks a month.

Not to mention most of the games I was interested showed up as 'long wait.'

What I meant was, if you didn't have to pay extra to get the IGNInsider membership. If it was included, this might be a good deal.
