Should I dump my GC and games?

If you are going to rebuy it eventually at a later time, I'd say 'keep it'. Gamecubes will be soon made in China (not in Japan anymore) and the quality will be not as good as the ones made in Japan. By the time, you want to rebuy a GC, you won't be able to get the one made in Japan. This is why I purchased my GC so fast.
FYI, later year DCs were made in China and a lot of them had problems e.g. cooling system, lens and etc. (from what I heard at the IGN insider)

I've had this same thought racing through my head. But thank god I have seven other systems to keep me busy 
In all honesty you should pick up Smash Bros. Melee. I havent stopped playing since I bought it, and Im not even done unlocking everything yet. But if in the end you feel one game wont hold your interest for very long, or you want another system that badly then sell it. Otherwise youll have an eyesore of a system sitting in front of you. And theres nothing worse than holding onto something your not happy with. I on the other hand love my GC, and being a huge Star Wars fan am not getting bored with Rouge Leader at all. Spider-Man will be out in another month, and man have you even played Tony Hawk 3? Its the exact same game on the PS2. Ive yet to play Smashing Drive, but I'm sure it cant be half bad. But if you find waiting is too much to handle then sell sell sell!!

It's ENTIRELY bad. It was weak enough in the arcades, but it's pathetic as a console game. It's a rental at best, and then only if it's the only choice available at your video store and you MUST have something.

That's why my DC is there.
I say keep it. In 3-4 months the games are gonna start rolling out as kids get out of school. 3-4 months isn't that bad-------I waited a year and a half for GCN to launch, so I can wait a bit longer

I havent played my Gamecube in around a month but im not getting rid of it at all. This week alone im gonna pick up All Star Baseball 2003 and 007:Agent under fire. Coming later this year Mario, Metroid, Zelda, WWF and lots more announced every day. Hang in there

The only reason I will be buying a Gamecube come summer......
The re-make of the first edition is scheduled for May according to ebworld....
