Xbox semi's?????
Last night I saw there were two, black, 18wheelers with Xbox logos all over them. They had a large part of the parking lot in front of Walmart blocked off, but there weren't any people.(It was about 9 @ night). Does anyone know what this could be about? Free Xboxes for me perhaps. Any info greatly appreciated!

There are black X-Box helicopters too??? Man, I didn't see those there, but hopefully they'll come. That'd be so sweet.
So anyone have any idea what the semi's are all about????

Shoulda done this the first time:
"Xbox is Hitting the Road!
Xbox is going on the road with the Xbox Odyssey tour. What is Xbox Odyssey, you wonder? Imagine two 53-foot semi's pulling into your town, setting up a humongous inflated dome, the likes of which have never been seen before in the United States. You enter the Xbox Odyssey dome to the sound of cool tunes cranking. You look around and see 52 game stations, a DJ stand, overhead video screens for game play, and a VIP Lounge. Awesome. You make some quick calculations to find out there are 96 gaming opportunities inside! You compete head-to-head with amazing multiplayer games such as Halo, NFL Fever, DOA3, and Fuzion Frenzy. Then you go one-on-one with games like Tony Hawk 2X, NHL Hitz, and Transworld Surf. You look across the room and see a hot new band setting up to play. You may even get an invite to a special VIP party. That, my friends, is what Xbox Odyssey is all about."
Most recent schedule.
Gainesville
Butler Plaza - Archer Road
February 8 10
Jacksonville
Alltel Stadium - One Alltel Stadium Place
February 15 17
Atlanta
Lenox Square - Peachtree and Lenox
February 22 24
Padre Island
Schlitterbahn Bar and Water Park - 90 Park Road Highway 100
March 8 23
They've been on the road since around Nov. 15, and I think the entire national tour is about a year long IIRC.
Tuan Jim
edit -- looked a little further down under the vids: "Xbox Odyssey makes its first stop on November 1st in San Francisco, followed by Los Angeles, San Diego and Phoenix. Then the tour will roll on to 33 other cities across this great land by next December. Stay tuned at Xbox.com to find out when Xbox Odyssey will arrive in a city near you. We'll keep you informed with tasty tour report information, such as the musical acts that came to play and hang out at Xbox Odyssey! You won't want to miss it!"

Shuki....I wish that I could...But I haven't hit the digital photography age yet. Don't even own a camera. Do have an 8mm camcorder though-but that will be no good. Sorry I can't be any help.

What's with the huge grills on the front-sides of each big rig??

Those grills are fugly... No mention of Xbox giveaways though.. So it's just a big tent to come and play games? I guess I'll go check it out when it gets to San Diego... In 11 Months! Wait, did that start last year?! DOH...

Just got back from it...Very Cool. It's pretty much what the description said it would be. Tons of games to play, tons of people there. They were having drawing every couple of hours for an Xbox, unfortunately I didn't win. But there is always tomorrow.
Check it out if the parade makes your city. Worth the wait. Big screen tv's for DOA, booths to race on Gotham. 4 player madness on the sides. Really sweet fellas, really sweet.

very cool. Any pics? Kinda doubt they'll make it through here, though maybe Raleigh if I'm lucky -- a year does allow for quite a few stops.

They might just make it up your way Tuan. It's not like Gainesville is the metropolis of all metropolis. It was funny, yesterday I stopped by the Xbox event to register to win again, and being sunday, there were tons of women and children there. Not exactly what Microsoft was aiming for I imagine. The funniest part of it all was that a local radio station had their "prize wheel" set up, and the line for that was 10 times the line of any video game playing station. Women and kids in strollers all over, quite the scene.
