Does anyone have any idea when they will put up preorders, and what kinda bundles (ick) they will have? I only ask because they have an EBworld-esque "Sign up for our newsletter to get preorder info" page up. Any info would be great...thx.

From what I've read, Gamestop had bundles up for pre-order a long time ago, and have more recently announced that they will not be taking any more. Your last bet for pre-ordering online may be EB.

Thats what I figured since I'd need to be a supreme Mac-Daddy to get one at the next Amazon preorder on the 18th. Okay...thank you for the info....
Can't wait till tomorrow.

I just pre-ordered the gamecube at Electronic Boutique this morning. Not much of a line, only about 7 showed up by the time the store opened. The great thing about pre-ordering there is that you are not limited to their choice of games. The flyers they had were offering 7 games, but you can get any game they have in their system. So I wound up pre-ordering Rogue Leader, Smash Brothers and Eternal Darkness, the latter two of which do not come out until December. Also, the employee I talked to was not sure if you can upgrade the interact controller to a nintendo controller, so I guess I will find out later. All in all I think this was the best opportunity to pre-order.
EBgames.com started their pre-order at noon est. I think they only have two bundles available, and no choice of games so I would try to get it offline if at all possible.

Dammit, that sucks. EBWorld.com is really my last shot, because I don't have an EB near me...I'm the unluckiest bastard alive.

mlister....are you sure that EBgames.com is putting up preorders today? Did you ask a rep, because i"ve been checking all day long, and the webpage hasn't changed from the normal, "join our mailing list to find out pre-order info" stuff...?

i talked to the manager of the eb in lakeline mall here in austin and he said you can only trade in the interact controller for an official one... which means you would get like 10-15 bucks for it then have to pay the difference.... you can't exchange it for full price though.

Stoney:
From what I've read on other forums, EBgames.com had the cubes up briefly for preorder this morning, but took them down due to technical difficulties. I am signed up for their newsletter, and they definately are planning on selling them today...so keep refreshing! For more details, check out the message boards at

Todd B., I think the post you are referencing was referring to the b&m EB. There were only 2 bundles offered online, both without your choice of games.

Is anyone else worried about their EBWorld.com bundle pre-order? Even though I got my order in, I'm worried that they might not be able to fill it at the launch date.
They've had the order page up for almost two hours now, and they're STILL taking pre-orders. I can't believe that they'll really have enough allocation to fill all the orders they've received in the past couple hours (especially since Amazon sold out in 60 seconds).
From their FAQ:
Sounds to me like they're taking as many pre-orders as they can, but they might only fill a fraction of them. Even though my order was within the first half hour of availability, I'm worried.

From their FAQ:
How many GameCube bundles can I order?
Due to the expected demand for GameCube bundles, we are limiting purchases to one per customer on a first come, first served basis.

Are your release dates guaranteed?

There may be a chance of not getting yours, but the picture isn't as bleak as you paint it. I'm sure they have rough inventory numbers, and can garantee delivery with reletive accuracy. I think that that section of the faq was more of a disclaimer than a warning.
