Hey, Venus, I'm in Chicago, too... Which Toys R Us are you talking about?

One more question for anyone out there... does Buy.com put an approval through on your credit card before charging it?

I actually called the Toys R Us in Melrose Park (on North Ave) and they told me that they will take preorders next Wed. I will also call the one at Golf Mill in Niles to see if they tell me the same thing. These are the 2 closest Toys R Us stores to my house.

Is $225 shipped (express) a good price just for just the unit?

The Costco bundle isn't that bad. I'm just not intersted in Luigi's Mansion.

I'll stick with what Ihave pre ordered... black gc, mem card, and extra spice controller with overnight shipping for 255 from outpost.com. I got some ps2 games to trade in to cover the games (and some amazon coupons when they start taking orders for games)

The costco deal is good, but I won't settle for not knowing the color. I don't want a purple console.

these bundles on amazon come with a six month subscription to EGM, is that one of those things you have to "cancell before they start billing you" type things?

I was holding out for amazon, but their bundles are abominable. Guess I'll be hitting TRU early on the 18th.

Anybody know when ebgames.com will start taking pre-orders? They had my PS2 at my door on the launch date, so I trust them more than I do amazon.

KBKids is now taking preorders (bundles only)

http://www.kbtoys.com/kbsearch.html?...T367&ls=vgames

They have 2 bundles, each in black and purple:

One bundle is Console, Luigi's Mansion, Madden 2002, Rogue Squadron 2, and a Memory card for $399.99

The other bundle is Console, Luigi's Mansion, Wave Race, Rogue Squadron 2, and a Memory card for $399.99

Not the best price in the world, but its out there

This is a pretty bad deal.

System 199.99
Games 49.99 X 3
memory card 14.99

Thats a total value of $364.95

I love it when they try to cheat on preorders.

I was all set to grab one of these bundles, but then I saw the shipping options:
Standard (5-10 business days) - $9.85
Premium (4-5 business days) - $21.58
"Express" (3-4 business days) - $34.44

On top of the extra $35 in the base price, this just makes it too unattractive.

Still waiting for EB to take online pre-orders.

I reluctantly ordered one of the KBToys bundles. My fear is that I simply won't be able to find a cube by Christmas any other way. If I get in on the next Amazon pre-order or at EBWorld (if and when they ever offer preorders) I'll cancel however.

According to http://www.planetgamecube.com/news.c...n=item&id=2210, EB will start accepting pre-orders next Monday (10/15). The good news is that you get your choice of 3 of the available games (you're not forced to get "Luigi's Mansion"). The bad news is that the bundle supposedly contains a 2nd controller provided by a 3rd-party (Interact), as well as a book about the history of Nintendo (yawn).

Put a bundle in your cart, and remove/add whatever else you're looking for.

Best Buy just sold out. I ordered from them to avoid getting a bundle. 5 minutes after ordering from KB, I found a better deal thanks to T-Wolves. Hopefully, they'll let me cancel without a BUY.COM-style runaround.

I have a question maybe some of you could answer. I was adding one of the bundles to my wish list at Amazon, and it asked for credit card confirmation...about things bought off of my wish list?? Will this auto purchase it if I have it in my wish list...I know this seems optimistic, but hey?

I cancelled my KB order last night. Of course, they put a pre-authorization on my card, so I have $400 that I can't touch for 3-5 business days.

Does Best Buy do that, too?

From my understanding, yes they do. I cancelled my Purple Gamecube order so I could get a Black one, and the service lady mentioned that it would take a few days to free up the pre-authorized amount of my first order.
