well, that's kind of a crappy ending in a different way... i really enjoyed the game but the first ending was a letdown. now i have to play many many more times to see the better endings? i'll do it but they had better be the best damn endings!

Though a computer game, Myst has one of the worst endings in gaming history. What a let down - it was probably the only time I got ticked off for FINISHING a game.

Well, I think I may have misled you a bit. I checked GameFAQs (this page specifically --> WARNING: SPOILERS http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/psx/f...s_ending.txt). The other endings seem to be just strange/fun endings. The good ending the first time play through is the only one that seems to finish (well, more than the others anyway) the story. The others aren't related to the story it seems. If anyone has beaten one or several, could you please verify?

Believe it or not, there's a good ending in Karateka. The problem was, you forgot your manners in front of the lady...
(You have to bow before walking up to the Princess, then you get the good ending.)

I can't beleive I still remember this stuff from an Apple II game.

I played Friday the 13th for like 2 months straight and I perfected every action and every move and all I got was a stupid text screen!! What a b*tch. Also the most boring ending was D2. Holy crap! It was the first video game ending that I got too bored to sit down and watch the whole thing to turn it off (unless you count the stars in FFVII, but I kept on waiting for about 2 hours, seriously).

for people who didn't like the soul reaver: legacy of kain ending, I remember reading that they never really finished that game. It was rushed out the door and that they couldn't put in the real ending because it wasn't finished and that was the reason for the ending the way it was.
