A gameshow, looks like it'll be a lot like Greed. No thanks for me.

I saw an episode of this when I was in the UK last year. Let me explain the basic rules.

A panel of contestants answer questions. If a contestant gets a question right, he or she adds money to the communal pot. From time to time, they may say the word "BANK" to hold the money he has made and pass to the next contestant.

If the contestant misses, he loses all the money he has accumulated (but the Bank can't be touched). At the end of the round, the panel votes off who they consider "The Weakest Link" and the majority rules.

The host then says the show's catchphrase "You are the weakest link. Good bye."

Then play continues until there are two people left and they compete in a round that I can't really remember the rules for for the bank.

JoeC...only seen it once!

The reason this show is so popular in the UK is primarily because the hostess Anne Robinson is such a bitch. The way she talks to the contestants is quite sarcastic. I don't think it will be as big in the US.

The commercial has already annoyed me, so I think I may skip it.

Same here, I'm sick of it already. I think I'll end up taping it, just so I can smash the tapes against my wall and piss on the rumble.

Well, the commercial has nothing to do with the show. No one on the show talks like that. Anne Robison (who hosts the show in the UK and will host the American network version) does it in a real emotionless, deadpan way that really, really works.

JoeC...it's the first show in the UK to beat Millionaire...

Watch This Show! It's very funny seeing people who were previously partners in a team, turn on each other SO quickly!!

That reminds me of the gameshow Inquizition. Old gray haired sarcastic host.
