For my money The Edge was the best sketch comedy show ever (Sorry, grew up in the late 80s/90s)

The only skit I can remember though is the Armed Family. I wish I could remember more.

The Edge was great. Anyone remember FOX's other sketch comedy series, Haywire? Each episode had an outrageous kung fu sketch in it with an Asian guy by the name of Billy. Someone would inevitably piss him off and he'd pick a fight with them. Of course, all his kung fu moves were completely exaggerated to the point of absurdity. Then at the end of each sketch they'd always warn the viewer, "Be like Billy. Behave yourself!"

How about the FOX hospital comedy Rachel Gunn, R.N.? I don't remember too much about the show other than the opening credits which always started with her being paged to come to the operating room. She would arrive at the end of the credits and each episode had something different happening. In one episode she found all the doctors and nurses dancing with skeletons. In another, they were having a pizza party and were using the patient as a table.

Yeah, based on a Seattle show called "Almost Live", which had a lot (all?) of the same cast members. "Almost Live" ran for 15 years, and it was on Comedy Central as recently as a couple of years ago and syndication shortly before that. Not sure if reruns are still airing anywhere.

Vaguely. I remember watching an interview in '92 with Kevin Conroy, who was providing the voice of Batman in the animated series. All I could wonder was, "Why the hell is the guy from Rachel Gunn R.N. voicing Batman?"

I remember watching Parker Lewis Can't Lose and thought that was great.

Then later on there were a couple of good shows one that was the George Carlin show. Then there was another show...I can't remember the name of the show but it had the actress who does the voice for Lisa Simpson. Anyone know the show I'm speaking of? It was really great.

I was a Parker Lewis fan, too. There was great camera work, if I remember correctly.

BTW, I didn't include "Married With Children", "It's Gary Shandling's Show", or "21 Jump Street" in my little missive because everyone remembers those shows. Well, maybe now Gary Shandling's show, but...whatever...
You expect people to remember the Gary Shandling show? Next, you'll be expecting people to remember the theme song!

I, for one, don't remember a word of it.

This is the theme to Gary's show
the opening theme to Gary's show
Gary called me up and asked me to write his theme song
I'm almost halfway finished
How do you like it so far
How do you like the theme to Gary's show
(whistling)
This was the theme to the Gary Shandling show.

American Chronicles a weekly documentary show produced by David Lynch and Mark Frost. It lasted a short while and probably got on the air because of the success of Twin Peaks.

Wasn't "In Living Color" on Fox? I remember when I first saw the trailer for "Ace Ventura" and thinking, "hey there's that guy from In Living Color."
