Whoa, and we have to wait a month to see what happens.

At least it was cool to see Joaquim from Star Trek II again.

2 parters are always the best, but AFAIK this is not a 2 parter, it's a 3 parter! And the wait is worth it, given that it's only 1 month, not the whole summer. Meanwhile watching The Lone Gunmen should make the time fly by fast, the new show is similar to The X-Files (I hope) with a few twists.

He was also in a next generation episode with the guy who played Dr. Marcus.

Grrrrrr. At least it's not a season ending cliffhanger.

Sheesh! I can't believe we have to wait for another month for the "conclusion"! of this story arc!

At least Gish's intro in this episode was okay (alway nice to throw an X-File into the lap of a prospective replacement for Scully...). And we finally get a glimpse into Doggett's background.

Scully runs pretty well for a pregnant woman.

That would fit w/ their usual method. IIRC all of the season "cliffhangers" have been 3 parters.

I doubt they'll do it but personally I hope they finally kill him off and leave him dead. I know I'll be in the minority but this eps bored the hell out of me. It reminded me of why I was giving up on the show in the first place. JMO

Oh yes one more thing... this was just pointed out to me in the #art_bell channel on EFNet but... the cigarettes that Anabeth Gish's character smokes are the same brand as the ones Cancer Man smoked. At first I thought they were just the generic show brand smokes, but if they were only that, why would they make such a point out of showing the box? Hmmmmmmm....

I thought The Cancer Man smoked the Red(Marlboro)
ones
and not the lights .

just a bit of trivia. i work in the film industry and when you work on a film that doesn't get product placement from a major cig company, you have to use a fake name. many prop houses sell empty packs of Moreley cigs that look just like marlboro's. that's what they use in the x-files. if you look closely in many movies, what you think is a pack of marlboros will also be a pack of moreley's. i've never seen the lights though, that's a new one. i've only seen the red's up until now.

not sure if there's any connection to the cancer man though. i've seen moreley's pop up on the show quite often.

Yeah, you watch. Since it's on april 1, they'll do some strange dream thing, and regress back to season one....

I hate cliffhangers, but saw the writing on the wall. What I didn't expect was the wait. But at least they're not having re-runs till then...

I believe his name is Judson Scott. He had a short lived series in the '80s, I think it was called 'The Pheonix'.

There was an episode guest starring Ron Silver as a Morley scientist who developed a mutated tobacco plant which unfortunately led to a super tobacco beetle being developed, the eggs of which were carried by the smoke into people's lungs.

(One of the few times I've ever seen Ron Silver play a character with any apparent likeable qualities.)

I'm sure there is a connection, or else they wouldn't have focused on the pack for as long as they did.

Did everyone catch the preview for the April 1st episode? There was a split second shot of Krycheck in it (I apologize for the spelling). Where has he been all season? I thought the episode was great. It sucks having to wait a month though.

Last night's was probably one of the best episodes in the past few seasons. It was about time we see something real happen. I also noticed about the new agent and her cigarettes and Cancer man quickly came to mind. I can't wait to see where they go from here.

I'm also wondering, does Skinner still have those things in him that allowed Krycheck to make him sick?? I think this was last season, he had some sort of device or something in him that made him sick... he was dying but we find out that Krycheck had something to control him.

So... do you think
Spoiler:
that Mulder is really dead?? I wouldn't be surprised since he wants to leave the show. But say what you will, I want him back. Doggett is good, but I want Mulder and Scully!!!

Was it me, or did the ending resemble the ending of Scary Movie? If it did, I love Scully's better....

I'm thinking...
Spoiler:
that Mulder can't be dead. I realize he was considering leaving the show, and that he only signed on for what, a third of the shows this season? But he still has more to be in, and it'd be lame to have just have him show up as a ghost or in flashbacks if he's already dead. I'm thinking maybe the body was a bounty hunter using his image to infiltrate the camp, and was killed. Maybe they'll find a puncture wound at the base of his neck. Do they keep their 'current' guise when killed?Or, it could be a clone, like the clones they made of Mulder's sister.

I don't think Mulder's dead. Both Duchovny and Carter have expressed interest in expanding the x-files movie franchise. Duchovny is definitely leaving the show so they need to wrap a few loose ends up before the season ends but having him die would make no sense if he is appearing in future x-files movies.

Also supposedly the introduction of Agent Monica Reyes is to introduce us television viewers to who will eventually replace Gillian Anderson once her contract expires in a year or so.
