Da Bears!
A sad day for Jason Sudekis too since Wendt was his uncle.

"Women, can't live with them, pass the beer nuts." One of my favorite lines from Norm. RIP.

My favorite line is:
"Whatcha up to, Norm?"
"My ideal weight if I were eleven feet tall."

Surprising he hosted SNL only twice and maybe had 5 timer potential though maybe he did not do a lot after Cheers ended.
Maybe Cheers as a show gets overlooked since Seinfeld and Friends came after and those shows grabbed all the spotlight and Cheers gets forgotten as a great show.

Apparently Wendt was in very poor health before he died. He supposedly weighed 350 pounds and had a failing kidney.

My Top 3 sitcoms are:
M*A*S*H
Cheers
Seinfeld
All three stand the test of time, IMO.

^ I like that that cut has the rise and fall of The Hungry Heifer.
Would have been nice to include Frederick Crane's first word though.
And I still think Kirstie Alley was such an improvement over Shelley Long. Like when Norm says he wants the day to just pass like any other, the way she delivers "I think you can pull that off" is so damn funny.

You'll also notice Cliff's character changed from the early seasons. He wasn't annoying, and wasn't a BS artist and Carla didn't hate his guts until a few seasons in.
It's the standard early seasons tweaking of characters in sitcoms. It seems like every show does that.

Wendt's cause of death was revealed by the coroner. Cardiac arrest. But, he had an assortment of health problems.
The certificate lists George's immediate cause of death as cardiac arrest ... with congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, and hypertension as underlying causes.
Other significant contributing conditions listed include end-stage renal disease -- kidney failure -- and hyperlipidemia, which relates to high cholesterol.
