I don’t know how I feel about that. I mean sure it may have been slightly better than the past few episodes but those weren’t exactly high bars to pass.

So Danvers, Navarro, and Prior are just going to cover up those shootings at Danver’s place easy peasy? No one is going to wonder what happened to Prior’s father who’s also a cop or to Otis who was a person of interest? No one will see the bodies being moved?

Just not super impressed with where the story is going and I feel like there’s probably a decent two hour movie within this season that got padded out into a six episode season.

I also don't get why this latest season continues to be a critical darling. Critics I follow (Sepinwall, etc.) seem to love this latest season. Perhaps the finale redeems itself but I'd rank the seasons as follows: 1...3,4,2

That's because Jody Foster has all the critics in rapturous praise. No one is gonna put anything she's in down. She's at "That stage" of her career where she can do little wrong and all around her benefit from her presence. She has been there for some time now.

I liked her in that. But one could argue that film falls in the "little.." part of "can do little wrong".
