No bad deed goes unpunished. All episodes of Marvel Studios' #Echo, a new Original series, streaming January 10 on @DisneyPlus & @Hulu.

Good trailer, much better then expected! Will still wait for reviews/word of mouth, Marvel just doesn't get the benefit of the doubt from me any more.

It has the feel of the Netflix Daredevil or Punisher series... cautiously optimistic. Especially since it's being dumped all at once.

Re: Echo (Disney +) 1/10/2024

I actually have that whole day free... I just might binge the entire thing.

It's a got a vibe that's halfway between Daredevil (Netflix) and Hawkeye (Disney).

I'm in.

Re: Echo (Disney +) 1/10/2024

Out of all the announced series this is the one I thought would get cancelled first just for having like no built in demand for it from either a comics or a character standpoint. But hopefully that means it's able to do something unique in that corner of the MCU.

Or failing that I hope that it at least has a reasonable budget.

Looks good and they're doing the right thing by releasing it all at once. It's also only 5 episodes, so a single day binge is easy enough to do.

Yeah, this actually looks pretty good.

Also, the trailer had a blink-and-you'll miss it appearance by Daredevil that I had to watch three times to catch.

I saw it too… hopefully it’s a little more than a cameo.

Some people have seen the first 2 or 3 episodes. Generally positive reactions: https://www.darkhorizons.com/first-m...ctions-are-in/

Funny how this project had the most "Nobody wanted this" comments I had ever seen for the MCU and now people are excited based off a couple of minute long trailers. I hope it ends up being good.

Re: Echo (Disney+) 1/9/2024

That was a great little promo. There was a quick shot of Daredevil in it.

Re: Echo (Disney+) 1/9/2024

The usual have been review bombing this because a short clip was released and they say the choreography is awful, because the punches didn't "land." It's on YT.

I looked at the clip and it looked fine. It was a bit of low resolution along with the possibility of the person's set having the motion setting switched on. People also don't know that Echo the character and actress have a prosthetic leg, so she incorporates it into the fight. It's the scene of her fighting Daredevil.

I'd been ignoring this show until I saw that trailer. Now I'm interested.

I didn't know what this was until I saw an ad on TV yesterday, I'll check it out.

It kind of reminds me of Sin City.

Re: Echo (Disney+) 1/9/2024

I think the thing is ECHO isn't a "big" name from the comics when she was introduced in Hawkeye, and that no one was sure how watered down would the Disney product be from the pretty violent Daredevil shows? Now that we see it's being marketed as TV-MA, those that enjoyed the Netflix shows can feel hopeful it will bring the same level of solid storytelling.

Re: Echo (Disney+) 1/9/2024

First ep was okay.
Great opening. Be interesting to see what that was all about.

Terrific fight right after the open.
Then after that it was fine.

5 episodes and an all drop still has me concerned, especially with ep 1 having a large bit of flashback scenes.
