Well that was interesting… not that we know much of Fury’s personal life, but if…
… which could mean…
… and if that’s true…
… and would it really take that long to find a place the Skrulls could call home? The promise was made in 1995… then we jump to 1997 and they’re still on Earth… and is it because Carol Danvers never came back? Wouldn’t it be her fault?
This ep was better than last week’s… but who am I kidding, I’ll keep watching regardless.

I would assume Fury was sidetracked with Avengers stuff for a few years, then the blip took him out of action for 5 years. So I would assume New Skrull Planet was on the back burner for a bit.
Do we think Fury knows his wife is a skrull? She switches to human mode before he sees her. Could she have been planted by the council to keep a closer eye on him?
But I also like the idea of him knowingly falling in love with an alien and marrying her.

I liked this episode a little more than the premiere. Had some interesting backstory with Fury and the Skrulls. Notice how they avoided showing Brie Larson’s face in the 1995 flashback from Captain Marvel? I think it was to avoid paying her residuals. This episode had a very political thriller vibe. I’m curious about the end reveal about Fury’s wife being a Skrull. Rhodey seems different. Seems like a by the book Washington shill. At least we know the Avengers still exist in this.
Some interesting theories by Goldberg.

When we saw the files on Extremis, Cull Obsidian, Frost Beasts and Groot, my son said “I wonder if they are making a Super Skrull?”
I stopped and was like “…….that’s 100 percent what that means”.

Spoiler:
This episode was much better than the first one. It was worth watching for several scenes.
The train scene with Fury and Talos was enjoyable and Olivia Coleman plays a convincing badass...plus she is funny to boot.
Gravik appears he is going to be a much-needed charismatic and interesting new villain for Disney + shows, something that has been lacking in most. His round table scene was solid.
Also found the scene between Rhodey and Fury excellent and fun to watch.
No fast forward button needed so far! Yah!

How do we know Rhodes isn't a Skrull? Maybe he was replaced between Iron Man and Iron Man 2...
