I’d really be ok with this series ending. That was possibly the most pointless piece of new Star Wars media to date. The show is narratively bankrupt; Grogu just appears in scenes at this point to continue selling merchandise.

Decent 10 min episode.

I'd be perfectly fine with Bo Katan taking over from here.

I thought it was interesting with Dr. Pershing and it wasn't going where I expected it. I thought maybe he would have had an unknowing hand in keeping Sidious alive through his cloning.

Shocked at the bitching, This was probably 10% Mandalorian with about 90% Andor in terms of espionage and other illicit activity. Thought it was awesome.

I have to give this show the benefit of the doubt that this is going somewhere, but we’re almost 1/2 through the season…something needs to happen soon.

This episode was nerdgasmic. Favreau just knows how to make a tv show and movie. Fuck he’s good in front and behind camera. Hell, Chef is a fav of mine.

I expect those imperial biscuits to be sold for a ludicrous price like the cookies from last season.

Well I give them credit for a longer episode, though nearly 40 minutes with Dr Pershing isn't exactly what I had in mind. It also opens up a direct comparison to Andor, which is just on another level in every category...even visually Coruscant just felt more real and impressive in scale. Great bookend scenes with Bo and Dinn, hopefully we get a lot more of them together.

That was weird. The tone of the episode felt completely different than anything else. I have to imagine that cost a fuck ton with way more CGI than we typically get. Hopefully there was a point to that because otherwise that was a waste.

Gotta believe the shit with Pershing will pay off. If it doesn't, there'll be hell to pay. Yeah, his story felt like an episode of Andor. Is Bo happy about being made a part of Mando's clan? I wouldn't think so because now she's expected to keep her damn helmet on all the time.

Yeah, Coruscant looked amazing. I just kept looking at that cityscape thinking about how much it cost.

Re: The Mandalorian (S3E03) - “Chapter 19: The Convert ” - 3/15/22

It dawned on me during the episode that Katy O’Brian, who plays Elia Kane was also Jentorra in QuANTuMANia.

As for the episode, while it was a bit weird, I enjoyed it. Wasn’t really onboard with them turning Pershing “up to 11” but there has to be a group inside the New Republic that is either very weary of cloning or has their own agenda.

With five episodes left, I’ve got hope they’ll get to the point.

Also, I don’t think Paz Vizsla is totally onboard with Bo-Kayan Kryze hanging around.

Re: The Mandalorian (S3E03) - “Chapter 19: The Convert ” - 3/15/22

I'm sure the Pershing thing will have a plot point going forward... but WHY DID YOU TAKE 45 MINUTES OF MY LIFE TO SHOW THAT??????? The first 10 minutes was some amazing stuff and then you completely derail a show to give us a LOT of walking and second-guessing chit-chat drivel.
So Elia is the baddie, she takes the clone tech to the Emperor or something along those lines... but in the end, we know it doesn't matter because Rey and Kylo kill Snoke and the Emperor.

They did mention that Gideon escaped --- so that is good to hear, I guess.

So was this the backdoor pilot episode of the season?

Thought I was watching Andor for a bit haha

Cool dogfight scenes, some of the best of the franchise. The music amped it up.

IMO, it was only like Andor in the sense that it wasn't hyper-focused on Star Wars type characters that we're used to seeing. Andor is just a guy. This was just such an odd, unexpected departure - mid sequence too. I don't even know what they're thinking anymore.

The Pershing stuff should have been a fifteen minute B-story.

This episode was just one hour of Disney and Lucasfilm fumbling around with Star Wars...

I'd imagine the episode was more about the woman (not sure of her name) rather than the Dr. Showing her true colors and I'm sure she'll reconnect with Gideon later on.

I was thinking that the whole episode, but never got around to noting the actress' name for a Google search. Thanks.

Re: The Mandalorian (S3E03) - “Chapter 19: The Convert ” - 3/15/22

Could someone give a short recap of who Dr. Pershing and Elia are? I don't know if I have a really bad memory (I do) or there's a Star Wars series I haven't seen. Help?
