As much as I loved the show, THAT may have been the best part! There is another one later on as well. The run time would put this at about a 3-reel film, so they also timed these right!

The bus punk was also in Spider-Man: Homecoming! (I remember hearing that on a podcast and they said he is a respected VFX artist ...)

Really fun! Would love to see a new one every year! If and when Blade ever gets made he'd fit right in.

That was a blast! Great directorial debut from Giacchino. Oh why couldn't this have been a series of different adventures or feature film? I hope we get more. And yeah Ted was awesome!

Considering how problematic the Blade project has become, It's for the best if they choose to go this route for him!

Interesting. Apparently Ted/Man-Thing was mostly a practical effect.

I watched this tonight for Halloween and really enjoyed it. I hope they do another special for next Halloween or turn this into a series or movie. Marvel needs to let Giacchino direct one of their movies.

Didn't look like it. Whatever digital retouching they did ruined all those efforts.

Re: Marvel's Werewolf By Night (Disney+) - premieres 10/7/22

Agreed with others that this was a great one-shot, though I would've loved if they actually, I dunno, introduced the characters a little? We don't even get to know their names, though it seems axe dude at least recognized Jack from before (which seemed odd to me given how Jack's hunts were said to have gone).

Also, while it was cool stylistically if you have a monster hunting brotherhood this seems like a really odd way to choose a new possessor of the bloodstone. Are these people just monumentally stupid or just arrogant enough to think they can hunt all the monsters on their own?

I watched it last night and enjoyed it quite a bit.

Always good to see Laura Donnelly.

He also voiced some Gremlins in Gremlins 2, and was heavily involved with the Henson show Dinosaurs.

Watched this last week. I thought it was good and something completely different for Marvel Studios. I vaguely know about Man-Thing but other than that I know nothing about the characters in this. That’s okay though and it works as just a one off story.

"Director By Night" is a pleasant enough bio rather than a "Making of" piece.

Just watched this (the movie, not the director bio). Very cool. Good to see Laura Donnelly again during the interminable wait for the second half of The Nevers. Loved the look of it. I wish they had made it full feature length to flesh out the characters a bit more. I'd definitely watch a sequel if they make one. More stuff like this, please, Disney.

Director by Night was really good. Much better then a typical by the numbers making of documentary. It was a nice personal bio on Michael Giachinno and 70's/80's 8mm film making. That would have been so awesome to have been friends with him during that time frame. Even if you're not into the horror genre or even the MCU I'd recommend watching Director by Night.

Werewolf By Night Getting Color Re-Release on Disney+ for Halloween

More Werewolf By Night is coming to Disney+ this Halloween, but this time, the special will be in color. Marvel Studios announced that the popular spooky time special will be re-released on the streaming platform in color. One of the defining features of Werewolf By Night's black and white color palette. However, on Friday October 20, fans will get to see the story of Jack Russell in full blooming color. Director Michael Giacchino's MCU debut was well-regarded by fans and critics alike. A lot of people praised its tone and commitment to a darker, sacred Marvel Studios story.

So instead of getting another Halloween Special this year, we're just getting a colorized version of last year's?

Lame.
