First trailer. Looks awful. Makes Titans look like a masterpiece.

An official version in 16:9 from the CW. Same trailer and still looks like trash.

So an emo teenager somehow killed Batman in this universe? The CW's superhero formula has gone further and further away from the roots laid down by early Arrow and even Flash. This may be nothing more than moody teenagers with superpowers running around without costumes. I can see why they canceled Legacies, they didn't want two identical shows on at the same time.

I've watched all the comic-based shows on CW (This is barely comic based) Maybe CW needs to stay away from comic based shows in the future. Superman and Stargirl are good. (Of course there is a reason for that based on who makes them)
Batman just shot dead in the street? That feels so wrong on every level.

The funny this is that with Riverdale, they already have a bunch of teens with superpowers.
If they're going to stick with teens with superpowers and way out there storylines I kind of wish they'd just do Legion, though remembering the Supergirl Legion maybe that's a monkey paw wish.

I have zero interest in this. Superman and Lois, Stargirl and hopefully the final season of The Flash will be the last CW DC shows I watch. I’ll still watch Doom Patrol, Pennyworth, Peacemaker and Titans on HBO Max.

What what? The Archies have superpowers?
Anyway. This friggin show.
Why don’t they have issue with different Superman shows but refuse to do Batman.
Now they finally make a show with Batman in it and he is killed OFF SCREEN and the show we get is Batman Babies?
oh and Whom the bleep is Turner Hayes?

I mean, I can kind of understand why they are hesitant in putting Batman into a CW show. They had no problem putting him in Titans though (and misusing him).

Follows the old teenage CW group formula to a tee with original creations stuck in an almost unrecognizable Gotham. The showrunners' understanding of Batman and his world appear limited to stuff they skimmed off Wikipedia. I think this was originally intended as the replacement for Legacies, which used an identical formula and approach. I could practically do a one-to-one map of the characters between each series.
Hard to stomach if you only gave it a chance due to the Batman connections. May stick around one more season while the cast is still on dirt-cheap contracts but I don't see this hanging around for long.
