The 2nd draft was for contestants that weren't selected in the first round.

i think there would be two drafts only if we got 36 players. Since the game has 17 players/entries for 18 survivor contestants, there was a pause between the first and second rounds to allow the first group a chance to pick since some people have two picks.

The amazing race has two drafts sometimes since there are fewer teams and more players than teams in the game.
