I get quite nervous at this point when I see the thread bumped. 58 is way too young for this kind of incident. He seems to be a pretty fit person and did quite a bit of working out for Nobody to get into so-called fighting shape, but this is too without updates for heat exhaustion. Hope he makes a full recovery soon.

I’m wondering if they’re just being protective since he’s on location and his family wasn’t in the immediate vicinity.

Bob Odenkirk was hospitalized for a "heart-related incident" ... sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ, and it was touch-and-go for the last day but it looks like he's now out of the woods.
Bob is awake inside an Albuquerque hospital and we're told he's on the rebound, but when he was rushed to the hospital Tuesday after collapsing on set it did not look good. We're told he was not conscious during the early hours in the hospital, although he's now lucid.
Bob's rep tells TMZ, "Bob and his family would like to express gratitude for the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, as well as his cast, crew and producers who have stayed by his side."
The rep goes on ... "The Odenkirks would also like to thank everyone for the outpouring of well wishes and ask for their privacy at this time as Bob works on his recovery."
TMZ broke the story ... Bob was rushed to a New Mexico hospital Tuesday night after collapsing on the set of his show "Better Call Saul."
Production sources told us Bob and the rest of the cast were shooting when the incident happened, with Odenkirk going down and being immediately surrounded by crew members as they called an ambulance.

Crazy to see him getting in solid shape and see that happen. But by that same note, Bob Harper.

Looks like they were halfway through filming the season, so I assume AMC will split seasons and let him recoup before coming back. Who knows how bad it is. Really glad to hear he’s OK.

The most important thing is that he gets healthy again. Work can wait. If AMC needs to delay Saul so be it.

Totally. I am so happy that he will be okay. I wonder if it was a full MI (heart attack) or if he had a rhythm disturbance. My dad had an arrhythmia and he just collapsed on the street a couple of years ago. Scary AF but he was back to normal after getting a pacemaker. An MI can require a long difficult rehab.

Sounds like a perfect excuse to split the final season into two.

From a selfish perspective, I was worried about them not being able to finish the series.
The funny thing was that I was always concerned that a prequel to BB was a bit risky because Jonathan Banks was getting up there in age, and him passing away in the middle of the series would really handcuff the writers. Don't think there would be an elegant or even plausible way of writing him off the show. Meanwhile, it's the much younger star of the show who's putting a scare into everyone.
