It's not bad by any stretch, but it's definitely the fourth best Marvel series on D+ in my opinion.

Most recent episode wasn’t messing around.
Hopping around a multiverse is going to be a lot to take in. Doctor Strange 2 is gonna be chaotic.

I've been enjoying the show, and this week's one was pretty great.

The last episode was okay I suppose. Like I said before- I was enjoying the fact that this show seemed like it’s own thing, and didn’t think there would be any stakes.
I suppose with the Multiverse it makes sense, but it was seeming like a nice change in pace while it lasted. Now it’s just another: this has repercussions for the MCU, and has to be some grand event for the finale. Meh..

Sure it was brought up in a past post.
Do the stones work in another multiverse? Another timeline sure. I thought another universe was a no go.

I thought that the implication of the "paperweight" scene in Loki implied that Infinity Stones were tied to their own universes, and that once removed from that universe, became useless.

In the comics they can only be used in their own universe. I’m okay with them making whatever rules they want. It’s been nice having so many of the actors come back and do the voices and I think the animation has been pretty damn good. I don’t know if it’s just me but, I’ve enjoyed every episode and it’s been weird to me how harsh some people have been on it. And I’m not saying people aren’t allowed not to like it however, a common complaint has been that the show isn’t just like the comic. I don’t understand why people didn’t assume they would tie this show to the MCU.

Someone mentioned the Eternals earlier and I was thinking, well what about the Celestials (and presumably Galactus)? But that's the old "don't think too hard it's a comic book" thing so I'm fine with that.
I still don't get how ancient Zola is going to take down Ultron. Plus if the Watcher has access to countless multiverses there have to be dozens of multiverses where beings exist that would help stop Vistron, but I get it, it's team up time.

Fun conclusion. Wonder why they didn't include Ant-Man or even Spider-man with cape. Seemed like they were setting that up.

So are they going to talk about the Sakaar Gamora? Did I forget that episode?

Re: Marvel Studios What If...? (Disney +) -- Premieres 8/11/21
This show left me vaguely disappointed. I love the old What If comics but somehow translating it to the MCU just didn’t work for me. Didn’t care at all for making the stories all come together. Some great moments but mostly fan service rather than good storytelling, nothing had the emotional impact for me of say the What If Daredevil could see or What if Uncle Ben Lived issues. And the Watcher was way too casual sounding in the last few episodes. It wasn’t awful but the least of the Disney+ series so far for me.
(And I have to admit I’m already sick of the phrase “multiverse.” Can’t imagine how I’ll feel by mid-2022.)

I enjoyed the season as a whole, though it was perhaps a little hit or miss. But the high points (specifically Strange and Ultron episodes) are spectacular.
Ranking:
1. Strange loses His Heart
2. Ultron Wins
3. Earth loses The Avengers
4. Watcher Breaks His Oath
5. Zombies
6. Star Lord T'Challa
7. Captain Carter
8. Killmonger saves Stark
9. Thor only child
Ranking:
1. Strange loses His Heart
2. Ultron Wins
3. Earth loses The Avengers
4. Watcher Breaks His Oath
5. Zombies
6. Star Lord T'Challa
7. Captain Carter
8. Killmonger saves Stark
9. Thor only child

I didn’t really like that conclusion. I would have rather the show been a series of over the top one-shots than have them linked. It seemed forced somehow.
