So I am not the only one bothered by those stupid interludes that add nothing to the show?
It's still better than what TWD turned into but it's really going over the top with soap opera-like drama. Looks like next week is the season finale as they went 8 episodes for this one. It's ridiculous how many spin-offs they are doing on this and it looks like Tom Hanks is also now doing his own show with Sheriden which likely explains the guest slot on the other series.

Loving the season personally. My step-brother and I watch it every week together and it's our favorite show on air currently. I've had no real complaints this season... Just seems more of the same of what we would expect after 4 seasons of the show.
Definitely interested in the 1883 spin-off. Not sure on the 6666 spin-off yet, but we haven't seen anything about it other than what Jimmy is being put through on this one.

I don't get all the hate in this forum, considering this is one of the best seasons Yellowstone has done since Season 1. I guess it's got to that point where it's so popular that it's getting backlash.

Popped up in my news feed :

This was a better episode, but they still had to fill their Beth is insane quota, with the scene of her and the guy she fired.
I'm trying to remember when John turned on jamie, it seems like they're doing everything they can to alienate him and then will be all surprised when he turns on them

As others have said the long musical transitions of herding and horses turning in circles just dont connect with me at all.
That said I thought this was a bit of a comeback episode for the show. I actually felt invested in this one after seriously considering dumping the show after last weeks horrible episode.
Not sure I really needed to see the horse scene in such zoom in detail but it was a little funny.
Some very non-Bethian boldness in this episode with the pouty lipped Indian girl and the semen collection girl. I am sure it is the only time we see them though
I am not sure about the prequel but it looks halfway decent but holy fuck can they not remind us every 5 mins about it.
Pet peeve: as an adopted person it continuously bothers me the way that adopted children are portrayed in shows.

Although some scenes are way over the top, I don't mind it. It's a western with cars and smartphones. The montages aren't necessary for the story, but they set the mood and show the lifestyle besides the soap opera. There a very few shows I watch on a weekly basis, most of the time I wait until the season is done and binge it, but Yellowstone is the show I'm most excited for every week.

Regarding Jamie, John is the worst. Even if he does not want the endorsement for him, it was just cruel to let him believe he is there to support Jamie. Jamie is loyal to the family, nobody believes he is and they all do everything in their power to push him to betrayal.

Jamie's dad basically said "as long as I live, I'll keep trying to kill the Duttons until I get it right"... and Jamie seemed okay with that by not doing anything and giving up the gun and still seemingly having his father involved in his life and his kid. He also never came clean about figuring out that it was his dad that ordered the hit against everyone including Tate & Monica apparently... So it's not like Jamie is any better... Besides we already know about how evil he was in the past with the whole sterilization of Beth without coming clean about it too.

Jimmy had a chance for breakfast but he didn't get to the kitchen in time. I bet he'll be there in the future though. That might be one of the most realistic parts of the show.

I don’t doubt it. It’s not my world or one I would ever aspire to be part of, but I recognize it exists and this show is portraying it. I’m just struck by how pervasive some of it is. Again, this isn’t my world so this not a complaint about the show itself, just an observation about the world it’s showing us.

Am I wrong or did that opening scene last night show us how James Dutton dies? If so, kind of an odd choice to show the fate of the star of your new prequel series on the day it premieres.

Re: Yellowstone (Paramount) -- Season 4 -- premieres 11/7/21
I was super glad I watched this delayed. There was an absolutely insane amount of commercials (actual ones) and the incessant hype of 1883, bordering on the ludicrous. I mean it seriously seemed like there was 30 minutes of commercials and 1883 stuff.
The final scene was just so ludicrous. First, it seemed like Sheridan just watched Pulp Fiction before this episode as even what the robbers say is at best paraphrased from PF. Plus, I realize that this is a "western with cell phones" but holy hell the characters should have a tiny bit of common sense. Going all Rambo on the robbers while still in the diner was ludicrous. John is in a way directly responsible for the Sherriff's death. If they do nothing, the robbers kill no one in all likelihood and then they can catch them later.
Don't super love the 6666 stuff but it does seem more like real life. I assume the wolf sighting is because they are being displaced by the airport construction but maybe there will be more to that. Kayce's wife is obviously doomed before the end of the season.
It's really bad but still watchable like a trainwreck

I thought the same thing. It's weird to me to show these scenes in the main show unless they tie into the narrative. Makes me wonder if 1883 is intended to be just one season.

With the way they hyped it? They want it to drive Paramount + subscriptions. Maybe the most self hyped show ever.

Re: Yellowstone (Paramount) -- Season 4 -- premieres 11/7/21
watched the last two episodes last night and it was nice to see the Beth storyline toned down a bunch and actually working the system to get her goal of getting the airport stopped. I half expected her to drive thru the protestors and mow them down instead of using them as a tool to meet her goals. I'm really getting confused about Jamie's storyline and why his dad wants to kill the family so badly and whatnot.
