Jimmy Fallon is, apparently, in the middle of this whole imbroglio.

Conan isn't getting that job. He has that contract with HBO Max. I am pretty sure he is done with the late night grind. And that is absolutely not the demographic NBC would be shooting for.

Her accusation against Fallon is that she was served and drank beer in Fallon's presence at an SNL after party when Fallon was aware she was underage.

No accusation that Fallon was involved in her being served beer, or that he was directly aware of her drinking beer. Accusation states that she consumed beer, which she ordered, in the presence of unnamed NBC/SNL employees. She does name Fallon as a person she shared food with at that party.

So, I think Fallon's defense will be (if he cops to any recollection of that night at all) that he did not see her drinking beer, and that even if he did, he's a comedian, not a bouncer.

That seems a bit of a stretch. One accusation and now the entire SNL staff is involved in a clandestine sex trafficking operation? Did they do it out of a Bronx pizzeria?

This reads like those people who think Trump will become the President if Biden is impeached. That’s not how any of this works.

I’m pretty sure the NY District Attorney’s office isn’t going to pursue charges for Fallon from and incident where he was in the presence of an underage girl who drank a beer 20 years ago.

I think this is shakedown or a money grab and throw this lawsuit in the garbage.

If Fallon does end up damaged by this, it won't be Conan who replaces him. That ship has sailed.

I was just being snarky about Conan coming back to The Tonight Show.

I'm pretty much over Conan, at any rate. What little I saw of his show on TNT or TBS or wherever it was was really meh. His best stuff was when he was a dead man walking in Leno's shadow on The Tonight Show, and didn't give a fuck. Like when he was spraying caviar all over a Picasso painting.

Not related but NBC removed a video of Fallon fawning over Andrew Cuomo in a interview last May but you can't blame him since this was before the sex scandal.

I prefer a movie star as a guest over a Kardashian any day.

She may bring in ratings but her appearance would be remembered for all of the wrong reasons. I remember back when Nancy Kerrigan hosted and it drew huge ratings, but it was very much an illustration of all that was wrong with the show at the time. I honestly only see people tuning in to see what a train wreck she makes of the show. Also, I don't care what she says, there is NO WAY that thing she has is real.

I can understand the show having her host in the tradition of inviting "hot" pop culture figures, and I know KK is still a subject of interest for much of the American public, but it seems to me, she at least five years past that window when she was really an object of widespread fascination.
