Yeah, I DVR'd the 1st and 2nd episode and watched it, and it just keeps getting worse. Put a fork in it.
I am going back to the watch the original UK version.

I saw most of the first episode and it really was bad.

Between Bialik's and Cuoco's post-TBBT projects - I haven't been impressed so far. Haven't seen anything from the rest of the cast since then.

I watched the second episode and I'm out. Kurtz does look odd, almost skeletal, and it seems to me like it's giving her a lisp (or am I wrong?).

I watched five minutes of E1. I usually say and believe that sometimes it can take 1-3 episodes for a show to really find its groove, but I don't even want to give this that much credit.
Obnoxious laugh track.
Stupid dialog.
Not one but two spit-takes.
Acting that knows it's acting.
Swoosie Kurtz definitely looked weird - her head was too big or something.
I'm OK with some sitcoms being stupid and predictable, and there's tons of sitcom tropes that I've seen a million times - but they can still be funny.
I'm also fine with breaking fourth wall but it seemed overwhelming in this one.

Side note - turned it off and changed to Mr Mayor - maybe not an instant classic but much better than this, no laugh track, and shows a lot of promise. We'll keep watching that one.

It was ok. I like all the actors but the writing was corny. Lots of simple minded jokes. The original was smarter and funnier.

Fox renewed it as the sole live action comedy for next season. Moodys is dead as is the puppet show.

One of those shows I quietly watch without posting on DVD Talk, lol. I am thinking that this will be the last season but I definitely plan to watch. Another show with an actress that to a certain degree I am aware has said some somewhat controversial stuff regarding the Pandemic the past couple of years, but I happen to be able to separate what the actress says and does in real life with how they portray themselves on TV. Can't do this with every actor/actress (see the Legacies thread where learning about Matt Davis's real life words soured some of my enjoyment of the show), but generally speaking I can enjoy a show/film and not obsess about what someone on the show is saying when quoted by news/entertainment outlets.

Part of the reason I like the show is that for somewhat unexplainable reasons I have always been a fan of Kyla Pratt (and not just due to her looks, lol). Leslie Jordan is another cast member whose TV work I enjoy (and he has been on a ton of tv shows). One last actress I forgot to mention, they added one of the ladies who used to star on Hart of Dixie, which is a show I liked so much I did a complete re-watch on Netflix a couple years back, as a semi-recurring character. As long as the regulars on this show do not leave I will stick with it.

I liked them using her dad from Blossom as her dad on this show as well. It worked.

This show has a ton of strikes against it from my perspective but I guess I like the cast because I keep tuning in.

Ehh. I watched all of season 1 of Kat. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't great. I have all of season 2 on the DVR and haven't watched any of it yet. No real desire to watch it. I may just delete it without watching, not because of anything that any of the actors have said but simply because the show isn't that good.

Even after all these years, I remember him most from Ski Patrol. I don’t think I ever watched any of the shows he was in over the years but he (and his voice!) were immediately recognizable when I stumbled across him occasionally. He always seemed like a really nice guy.
