This timeline assumes Daniel was 17 in the first movie and says he would be 52 or 53 in Cobra Kai.
I only asked that question because Daniel said in the clip he’s the same age as Miyagi was when they met. The Daniel character is about 5 to 6 years younger than his real age.
Daniel in the show references the tournament as happening 30 years ago, so that’s why I assume he was still in his 40s. But that could have been just a throwaway line not being exact.

Forced, sure. But she wouldn’t be a regular or live in California. Daniel and Julie could’ve easily met at Miyagi’s funeral (or even before that) then became and stayed friends. She could come out to visit to see what he’s done with the dojo... when/if it reopens. Or a better reason that serves a higher purpose that I have no clue of... hence why I’m not a writer.

A lot of time has passed since that movie. It doesn't have to be something complicated. She was on high school when we saw her last. She could've easily went to college in CA and continued to learn from Miyagi or even just decided to move there. I really hope Tory ends up having parents unrelated to anything in previous movies. Her being an established character's kid would seem more forced to me.

Mr. Miyagi could have been cheating on Daniel with lots of other kids all over the world.

That Reunited Apart episode was really good.
However, poor Tony O’Dell. He got the shaft. Didn’t say a word. Sucked that they threw Martin Kove after the credits and brought in Juli Fields as one of the main group of people? Really she has only 1 acting credit and it was a minor part in the first movie. A few of them had poor connections. I’m sick of Zoom calls.

One of my colleagues is the brother of one of the writers/EPs of the show. He says he already saw the entire season, but couldn't say much else. He just said he thinks I'll probably like it.
