Bryan Cranston posted on IG that he does not expect people will be able to guess the plot twist for the finale. I find that interesting..

Overall, I was never fully engaged in this. It was a lot of plate spinning. Probably would’ve been better with only 6-8 episodes.

I thought it ended too abruptly, and I agree with dex, I wasn't shocked at all. This was a good ride, though.

I'm pretty happy with this being wrapped up. Not enough loose ends to warrant a second season so it's all good.

I thought the ending was well done and leaves future events open for interpretation. Undervalued series for sure. Enjoyed every minute of the ride - minus Adam's asinine decisions.

Personally, I hated the ending, as it left way too many loose ends that never got addressed. What was the point of introducing us to the wife's affair if it didn't go anywhere? Why did the jury vote the way they did? Meh, I should have followed my gut and bailed on this awhile ago, but I followed it through hoping for some redemption.

I enjoyed this but I agree, too many threads left dangling.
I picked up on something and I'm wondering if anyone else did. So Michael calls detective Nancy when they are preparing for Adam to turn himself in but she doesnt pick up. Then they change their mind on turning him in. When Nancy catches up with Michael the next day he uses that chance to report the car stolen. She starts down a line of questioning where he's clearly bullshitting and his responses are very awkward. We as the viewer know that but it gets by Nancy.
So.... later on Nancy finds out Michael's wife was having an affair before she was killed. She starts down a line of questioning about why he didn't disclose that in her *murder investigation*. As the viewer I get the exact same sense of him bullshitting her on his answers. Like his reasoning is pretty flimsy. And then I remember in episode 1 his son was furious that his dad ignored the one year anniversary of her death. Am I crazy for thinking Michael may not be this super honorable person and that.... he may have had something to do with his wife's death? I mean that is 100% the vibe I got and I kept expecting that to be the big reveal near the end and it just never happens. He knew she cheated. He hid evidence. He didn't care to visit her grave until he needed it as a cover story.
Did anyone else get that vibe? When dealing with The Baxters Michael sure knows a lot about how to cover things up, and avoid suspicion for a guy that's never done this. Did the writers maybe keep that in their back pocket in case this show took off and they had a great story to unravel for a season 2? The ending of this season as a story conclusion just fell flat for me. It really feels like they were playing both sides and hoping for a reason to do more seasons. Am I crazy? Did anyone else get a spidey sense tingle over the dead wife angle?

I just dropped all my pay channels as my cable bill was out of control and we do Netflix. Disney and Hulu, plus we get peacock free, not sure this show would entice me to resubscribe. Might check out a second season binge on a free weekend but I had mixed feelings about this show season one. Adam being out is a big plus as he was pretty unlikable and too old for the role he was playing which was one of my issues. I do love Crannsoton though...

Just finished this. While it was a great cast, the story just relied on way too many stupid ridiculous coincidences for me to ever really take it seriously. My reaction to the ending was "Good, that idiot kid deserved that" which is probably not what they were going for.
But it's Showtime so it will probably run another seven seasons.

Showtime’s legal drama Your Honor will be back for its second — and, according to star Bryan Cranston, final — season before the year is through.
Season 2 will make its linear debut on Sunday, Dec. 11 at 9/8c, TVLine has learned. The premiere episode, however, will be available two days earlier (on Friday, Dec. 9) on streaming and on demand for all Showtime subscribers.
Originally conceived as a limited series, Your Honor stars Cranston as Michael Desiato, a respected New Orleans judge whose teenage son, Adam (Truth Be Told‘s Hunter Doohan), is involved in a hit-and-run that leads to a high-stakes game of lies, deceit and impossible choices. In July, Cranston told Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast that Season 2 would be Your Honor‘s last; Showtime has not formally confirmed Cranston’s comments.
As previously reported, Rosie Perez (The Flight Attendant) has joined the sophomore run in a guest-starring capacity, playing Olivia Delmont, a charismatic assistant U.S. Attorney who must manipulate and motivate an unwilling asset in order to bring down a crime organization in New Orleans. She joins returning cast members Cranston, Hope Davis, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Margo Martindale, Amy Landecker and newly minted series regulars Lilli Kay, Keith Machekanyanga, Andrene Ward-Hammond, Jimi Stanton and Benjamin Flores Jr.
Your Honor‘s second season, spanning 10 episodes, is currently in production.

I'll probably wait and get a month of showtime when this is fully out. there are a couple of things on the channel I might watch but haven't subscribed to them in years now. This show was good but not great and I was not a huge fan of the last seasons ending.

I'm surprised there isn't more talk here about Season 2. Five episodes in and it's just as good as season one. Hector from Breaking Bad / Better Call Saul is in this now. Plays Gina Baxter's dad. The patriarch of her crime family (The Conti crime family) that married into The Baxter crime family.
If you liked Season 1, you'll definitely like this season too.

Thoroughly enjoying the new season as well. Quality, acting and writing is still top-notch prestige.
But I'm glad this series ends with this one.
