I don't need the recaps either, since I've gone through the whole show's run in just over a year, most within the last two months.
But I did watch some of this week's episode, and I'm reminded of how many gorgeous girls Lip has dated, portrayed by actresses quite willing to disrobe on camera. I mean sure, Karen was just a horrible person in every way, but certainly easy on the eyes. And I'm personally partial to Nichole Bloom (Sakura) as Amanda. If a character like Lip ever looked back on his past, I'm sure he'd view her as "the one that got away". He would have had a good future if he'd stayed with her.

Next week is the Debbie, Carl, & Liam recap. I imagine there will be one for Frank later in the season. A Fiona episode would be nice too...maybe if they get her back to wrap things up.
From what I've read, they're just finishing up shooting episode 8 now. There should be 4 more after that. I wonder if they'll show winter in Chicago if they're still doing location shooting there. From what I remember, the first season was entirely during the winter so it'd be nice to finish it up that way. I originally figured that the show would always be set in the winter after that.

They might be recaps but there is a bit of new segments tossed in there in an enjoyable way imo.

The other thing that the Lip segment reminded was how much potential he had and how little he did with it. Originally Posted by Paff

Very true. There's a lot of myself in Lip (minus the hot GFs who just seem to throw themselves at him). I too had a lot of "potential", but flamed out of college. Not as spectacularly, of course, but still drunkenly stumbled out after three years of mediocre grades and never returned.Originally Posted by clckworang

That said, I don't repair motorcycles, I work white collar salaried jobs in nice offices, own a condo in a middle class suburban neighborhood (in California, no less!), so I think I'm doing better. Again, minus the hotties.

Looks like the next episodes are Hall of Shame episodes: Fiona, then Frank. I wonder if they'll get a call from (probably unseen) Fiona or something.

Have we had accidental eating of sperm yet on the show? If not, I wonder if they'll slip that in somewhere. How about necrophilia?
We've already had necrophilia. I forget with season but Frank was having sex with the woman with the heart condition. She's in the bathroom when he takes the call that the hospital has a transplant ready for her and he decided it was in his own self interest not to tell her. They then have sex and she passes during. When he rolls off and realizes she's dead he says at least she was still warm.Originally Posted by Coral

I've you've been skipping the Hall of Shame episodes, you should probably watch the one that airs today about Frank for the newly shot segments.

I haven't bothered with any of those. Care to fill in or give the time stamps of the scenes so I can skip?Originally Posted by windom

Frank interacts with 3 different characters separately, probably evenly spaced throughout the episode, so try catching the very start, then 20 minutes in, then 40 minutes in.Originally Posted by dex14

Basically, it's Frank's version of

Been watching all of Hall of Shame. Been pretty good to look back over the series, plus every episode has a bit of new content interlaced throughout.

According to Showtime on FB, this is the remaining schedule:
3/7: Episode 7
3/14: Episode 8
3/21: Episode 9
3/28: Episode 10
4/4: Episode 11
4/11: SERIES FINALE
So no more Hall of Shames (not that they really had anyone else to cover).
3/7: Episode 7
3/14: Episode 8
3/21: Episode 9
3/28: Episode 10
4/4: Episode 11
4/11: SERIES FINALE

real fucking shame (pun intended) if Emmy Rossum doesn't return for the finale.

Lip just continues to plummet in a downwards spiral this season....
As for Frank... well.

I hope the "gold brick buried in the backyard" was only just a rare warm childhood reminder of Frank playing with Lip, and not something Frank forgot about all these years which was brought to the surface due to his dementia.
Although it would be fitting for Frank to actually leave something for his family for a change, but it would be way too out of left field.
It would be ultra lame if Fiona didn't show up for the finale.

Agreed. He's always felt that grifting is the only way to "make it" as a south-sider. Hence him taking SATs for others for cash, but never bothering to take them himself.Originally Posted by Josh-da-man

I'm worried that they're not gonna make this episode available early like it usually is. I seem to remember that they didn't release the Homeland series finale early.
Pretty sure Fiona isn't coming back. The writers have basically forgotten she exists (except for the Hall of Shame episodes). They don't even remember that she is the one that actually owns the house and that she's Liam's legal guardian.

It does seem kind of personal that the writers haven't mentioned her since about 2 episodes after she left the show. Originally Posted by windom

I thought Carl owns the house? It's been 11 seasons over a long span so maybe I'm misremembering the timeline of events... but at one point Gangster Carl was bankrolling and bought the house to save them from losing it. I don't recall ownership changing after that.Originally Posted by windom

EDIT: Wait, no... Carl did pay for it but they put it in Fiona's name I guess. You're right.
Doesn't seem like Fiona is returning... It'd be a big surprise at this point if she did.
