Very meta teaser. Nice to hear that there will be no mid-season break.

Watched the first three episodes. It’s still as good as every and the end of episode three took me by surprise.

Damn. Episode 4 was intense with regard to what Mark had to do.

Seth Rogan as Allen always makes me laugh.

The first half of episode 4 was some of the best stuff the show has done.

It’s OK. It’s comics. No one stays dead forever, right?

I can’t believe we’re at Conquest already. Next episode is going to be intense

I know it's just 8 episodes but the season still just flew by. Honestly I kind of wish they would shorten the fights to advance the story more. I've seen Mark get the crap beaten out of him and him beating the crap out of people more than enough. I did like the confessional though.

The Conquest fight took 3-4 issues, if I remember right, so they DID shorten that one. I remember a letter column at the end of that arc that was Kirkman addressing how monthly issues weren't "offering enough value" when there's barely any dialogue and he said it's not just the writing, but readers should admire the art. Obviously that doesn't apply as much to the animation on the show.

Re: Invincible (Amazon): animated series based on the comic by Robert Kirkman

Thought season 3 was far better than season 2. I liked the addition of Oliver more than I expected and happy they kind of sidelined Mark's dopey non-hero friends. They telegraphed that one hero's death a little too much.

I wish the episodes were broken up into more regular 30-minute chunks we've gotten from animation in the past. I think it would tighten up the show's experience. 12 episodes running shorter would have been better.

Not sure I fully get Invincible's obsession with brutal graphic violence. The show resorts to it so often that it loses much of its effect.

Kirkman has apparently said they are planning season 4 to showcase a storyline he didn't write into the comic but wanted.

Yeah, it's the post-credits scene. That never happened in the comics, and that storyline will be fleshed out next season.

Oh I definitely thought he was referring to
Spoiler:
Atom Eve's pregnancy and abortion. I remember that happening entirely off-panel while Mark is away fighting the Viltrumites and they've been giving other characters a lot more focus and development.

Just finished watching season 3. Wow, that fight with Conquest was brutal. It made the Superman vs. Zod fight in Man of Steel look like a minor squabble in terms of collateral damage to innocent bystanders.
