Archer (FXX) -- Season 11 and beyond Thread

Archer is awake....and he needs a drink. Premieres September 16th on FXX. Next day FXonHulu.

In season 11 of FXX‘s comedy Archer, “Sterling Archer“ is ready to return to the spy world after a three-year coma. While many things changed during his absence, Archer is confident it will take just a little time for him to reset things back to the old ways. The problem: does the rest of the team want that? The others may not be ready for his return to throw a wrench in their well-oiled machine.

Really hoping that a return to being spies equals a return to form.

I rather enjoyed the last two seasons. That said, Adam Reed is taking a step back, which could be bad if the other writers can't match his wit. But it could be good if Reed has run out of ideas and a shake up could bring back episodes as good as the first few years

Not "classic" Archer episodes by any stretch, but still enjoyable. Got more than a few laughs. I'm gonna have to try to remember this one

Bartender: We only have beer and wine, sir

Archer: Beer and wine? What am I, 12?

I've only watched the first episode, so far. Pretty good!

I am mistaken, or does Lana sound different, for some reason? She looks different, too, but I think that's intentional.

My wife thought she sound different too. She's 50 now, which could certainly be affecting her voice, but H. Jon Benjamin is 54 so who knows. Aging affects people differently.

Anyways, I'm glad the stories are back to the spy agency. The dream seasons were starting to drag.
I had hoped they would stay with the idea that the rest of the team had stepped up in Sterling's absence, but now they're all falling back into their old routines. The valet is a great character...

Archer (FXX) -- Season 12 Thread -- premieres 8/25/21

The "world's greatest spy" is back (his words, not ours). New season of Archer premieres August 25th on FXX and next day on FX on Hulu.

In season 12 of FXX‘s comedy Archer, “Sterling Archer“ and gang face a new threat: a spy conglomerate known as IIA (International Intelligence Agency). With a limited number of spy jobs up for grabs, can the Agency compete against the soulless vultures of IIA, or will our mom-and-pop spy agency be the next to get swallowed alive?

Any news of an extension? If not, I kinda hope they end it now, rather than go on without Jessica Walter.

Not yet. Season 11 had the ratings go up, so that helped with renewal. I am ready for this to end as well.

This season hasn't been wowing me, a few chuckles here and there. But last night I got one of the biggest laughs I've EVER gotten out of this show.

Lana: Is it weird that when I see Archer and that baby ape, it makes me think of AJ?
UN Liaison: Weird? No. But it is a bit racist.

Just binged this season. Seemed pretty unnecessary overall. Not many laughs, an fairly uninteresting villain and story arc.

Not sure about next season, as Mallory was my favorite character.

Seeking: mature and responsible leader to carry on legacy. FX’s Archer returns 8.24 on FXX. Stream on Hulu.

In season 13 of FX‘s comedy Archer, The Agency have been acquired by the spy conglomerate known as IIA (International Intelligence Agency). Agreed. I like it best when they're just plain old spies.

I didn't think the premiere was that good, but I laughed several times at the jungle adventure episode.

Re: Archer (FXX) -- Season 11 and beyond Thread

I think I'm behind on at least the last 2 seasons. Not even sure if I finished the third to last.

This used to be a "can't miss" show for me. I will catch up, and hopefully enjoy it again.
