The same actor that plays Serac’s brother.

And ... I’ll say it was the first really good episode in a while, and I never expected to say that about a Caleb episode.

I am disappointed we started with
Spoiler:
Clementine and Hanaryo
but no more.

The strange world of credits. Both Angela Sarafyan and Tao Okamoto make it back into the opening credits even though they both can only possibly appear in two episodes this year. Rodrigo Santuro did not, and he also appeared in two episodes.

I had read somewhere that Sarafyan was returning at some point this year so I've been waiting for her to show up. Though I have to say from a story perspective, Clem was a pleasure model. Maeve choosing Armistice would have made more sense.

Wow, was that a chore to get through. Never a good sign when a majority of the episode is flashbacks.

Only one more episode remaining this season as well...what a waste.

I'd take solace if this was actually the end of Dolores. But I'm sure next season there will be 5 or 10 more copies of her running around dragging down scenes.

I'm just not engaged in this show anymore. The original concept is what I liked. I wouldn't say the show is bad and I'm glad people are still enjoying it. But, it just feels too far removed from how it started to me.

Regarding prior conversations about future seasons, this article seems to indicate Nolan and Joy's deal had them paid upfront for up to 6 seasons:

I was really excited at the prospect of Dolores getting out into the real world but the direction things have gone just seems like a mess. Maybe they'll tie it together but I'm not optimistic.

Watching them ride through Sonora reminded me of everything I enjoyed about the first season only to have them pull up to an abandoned looking facility housing Solomon, one of the world's most advanced AIs, who's guarded by a paltry seven inept dudes. And Bernard and Chunky Stubbs are the lamest roadtrip team-up ever.

I kept thinking well, I know where the last of William's body fat went to. Ed Harris looks like death.

I 100% agree with this. TBH I find this entire season excruciatingly dull. Was there anyone that didn't know Jesse Pinkman offed his friend from the first flashback? I mean they took like 45 minutes building towards that "reveal" like it was momentous and it was obvious from like Day 1. The show is just convoluted and dull.

I like season 1 though a lot of the twists were not hard to figure out. But to be honest, for me a Westworld show that was more fun and episodic with this gradual story of the robots becoming sentient over a couple years would have been a better world. The core appeal of a Westworld environment is completely lost in this show. I am not sure anything in this season could hold up to even the most minimal scrutiny either/

If I had any faith in the creative forces behind the show this very fact would lead me to believe that what we're seeing now is just another "World" where things are playing out as part of some rich guy's (William's?) masturbatory fantasy. It's all so slip-shod and implausible that the only thing that could redeem it is a final episode pull-away showing Dolores still lying in that hay-pile at the mercy of human nature and even that would be a massive cop-out.

7 episodes in, and i'm just not that interested in Caleb. As someone said above, you could deduce the show was going to the "Caleb killed his friend" angle in the earlier flashbacks. overall, I like the season, and Dolores is much better than last season. But the central issue of "everyone's lives were planned, now it's pandemonium" just hasn't played that well for me. We'll see where the next episode ends up (the final plan)

Same here.

Caleb dressed in all black and William dressed in all white was just a little heavy handed.

I thought early on that they were still just in Westworld because there were a lot hints that it was actually on the moon not just a dinghy ride from China, but it does seem now like they are actually in the real world. But I would have preferred maybe a Westworld show more like the old Vegas show with James Caan then this show which is pretty pretentious to be honest.

Duh? Everyone knows that to hit what you shooting at all you need is a handgun. This is proven over and over in TV and the movies. I mean look at Barnaby Jones he could accurately graze peoples wirist with handgun like every time....

And it was a walking computer aiming/shooting it no less. He fought like he was in the Matrix one episode, and in another a hundred rounds from 10 feet at a nearly stationary target and one flesh wound to show for it.

Great episode. Still loving every bit of this season. Leagues above season 2 for sure.

Exactly. We've been through so many shows with setups and brain-f**ks like this that it seems trite. Plus, just how many flashbacks of the Shrink over Caleb do they think we need to get the brain-washing going on? So lame.

Btw, please "off" Caleb. He is boring, the actor has limited range and he looks like the third sailor from the left extra.

I just sort of hate that we are completely detached really from any Westworld connection. It has completely morphed into something else entirely. We never really saw the park in action. I use to hate that everything was episodic and not serialized now I sort of want more episodic shows with some serial elements underneath. Westworld could have been a blast as a show that had stand alone episodes and "mythology/serial" episodes something like Buffy. Westworld is just not fun. And it should be
