I’m powering through S1 right now. Great stuff. That quarantine episode was so funny. Gonna try and finish all before S3.

I love this show. Glad it's coming back. The entire cast is great but No (Jessie Ennis) is my favorite.

That brunch sequence is about half the brunches I've observed out in the wild and the "no work to do" thing is accurate.
"Are NFTs good or bad?" "Yes"
No Fucking Thanks
Anyway, anyone watching this season?

I started it then forgot to continue. It’s a good show, but it’s not hitting for me. I’ll chuckle every now and then, but i don’t find it all that funny. Poppy’s constant yelling gets a bit old with me too.
I’ll keep watching, because I’m invested in the characters and want to see where it goes.

Apple is expanding the world of “Mythic Quest” with a new series set in the world of the show that hails from three of the original series’ writers.
Variety has learned exclusively that Apple has ordered “Mere Mortals” from Ashly Burch, John Howell Harris, and Katie McElhenney. All three are writers on “Mythic Quest,” with Burch also appearing onscreen as the character Rachel. In addition, “Mythic Quest” creators Megan Ganz, Rob McElhenney, and Charlie Day will executive produce “Mere Mortals” along with “Mythic Quest” executive producer and star David Hornsby.
The eight-episode “Mere Mortals” is said to follow the model of episodes of “Mythic Quest” like “A Dark Quiet Death,” “Backstory!,” “Everlight,” and the upcoming episode “Sarian.” Per the official logline, “Mere Mortals” will “explore the lives of employees, players, and fans who are impacted by the game” at the center of the mothership series. Katie McElhenney wrote “A Dark Quiet Death” and “Sarian,” while Burch wrote “Everlight.”
“Mythic Quest” originally debuted on Apple back in February 2020, with the series currently airing its third season. It was renewed for both a third and fourth season back in 2021.
Along with Ganz, Rob McElhenney, Hornsby, and Day, “Mere Mortals” will be executive produced by Nick Frenkel, Michael Rotenberg, Jason Altman, and Margaret Boykin. Lionsgate Television, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Ubisoft produce for Apple.
Burch is repped by Mainstay Entertainment and Hansen, Jacobson. Harris and Katie McElhenney are repped by 3Arts. Ganz is repped by WME, Brillstein Entertainment Partners, and Yorn Levine Barnes.
Rob McElhenney is repped by WME, 3 Arts Entertainment, Narrative, and Sloane Offer. Hornsby is repped by CAA and Jackoway, Austen, Tyerman. Day is repped by 3 Arts, CAA, Sloane Offer, and The Lede Company.

Surprised by that news. IMO this show has gone quickly downhill since season 1. Season 3 has been completely forgettable so far and has made most of the characters unlikable in a way that I just don't want to watch.

I liked Season 2 a lot but agree 3 is lacking.

Does anyone at all enjoy the David/Jo content this season is full of? They were OK as background characters but moving them to the front has been awful.

I finally started S3, because I wanted to binge even though there's 1-2 episodes left. Just finished the third episode and it was great. "The Brunch" was hysterical.

Season 1 of this show was awesome. Season 2 was solid. Season 3 has been a dud for me. The brunch episode got a couple laughs from me. But it's veered too far away from comedy and more into a drama. And the characters don't really merit dramatic material. How many times can Ian & Poppy have a friendship altering argument and just come back together only for it to keep happening?
More fun stuff like calling Pootie Shoe a piece of shit and less mopey emo Ian arguing about a thermostat please.

So this has to be renewed, given that they picked up a spinoff but...who the hell is watching this? Does this show even exist at this point?

It was renewed for seasons 3 and 4 shortly after season 2 concluded.
Apparently enough people watch it to justify its existence. I'm a fan even though season 3 has been a bit weak. Season 1 and 2 were really solid. It's the only thing that even remotely has a Community feel to it these days.
I do need to catch up a bit with season 3 concluding this Friday.

I noticed that they tried to frumpy Poppy up a bit. The jeans she wears in S1 & S2 shows off that she has a nice body, but the jeans she wears in S3 do not -- they're sort of baggy jeans (or less form fitting). Oh, I do like when she gets neurotic - it reminds me of Invader Zim. In any event, the show is still awesome. The stuff with Joe Manganiello was great.

Yeah definitely a step down but I think that is because everyone all had their own individual plot lines.
Best part of the new season was Old Phli going off in the meeting with Carol.
Danny Pudi is so good in this. I think I enjoy all his plots the most.
I think bringing Ian and Poppy back into the fold will be helpful for the show.

I’m up to ep 5 in s3.
It’s still funny but not as great as the first 2 seasons.
A little confused about what exactly is going on this season.
Ian and Poppy have their own office in a void and Dana is working there too.
Everyone else is still in the old office but Poppy and Ian still show up in the old office.
Also,it seems like they’re making a MQ movie and trying to get Joe Manginello for it?
