On episode 7. Badass.
On a tangent, there was a scene where a character was eating some stew and is asked if they would like some mustard in it. I did not know you put mustard in a stew. Shit, I love both, but never knew thy went together. Sounds delicious.

Wrapped it up. Great season.

In a lot of ways maybe the best season of the show. Just riveting. I hope they are allowed to do the full five year arc they have planned.

Finished it in less than 24 hours. Great show. Laura Linney and Julia Garner steal the show.

Just wrapped it. I thought the entire season was a misfire. Julia had her moments for sure and I get that it’s important to try new things but nothing worked imho. Very surprised by the quality drop on this one.

starseed is the Armond White of DVDTalk. Didn't like this season of Ozark, most people did. Doesn't like Westworld's current season, most do.
I get the feeling if I browsed back through the threads of GoT's last couple seasons, I'd see starseed praising it
Anyway, finished the season tonight. Hell of a final episode. Bateman and Linney were terrific this season. Ben was a frustrating character, but had to be in order to be the catalyst that moved the story along. The Wyatt/Darlene relationship is just weird, can't get past it. That said, I'm interested in seeing how the Snell heroin business reestablishes itself.

Interesting take. I thought the season was two episodes too long and bloated. I didn’t like anything involving Ben or Wyatt/Old Lady Snell. I found Wendy to be endlessly frustrating this year. And I really don’t think a drug lord would take his cues from a soccer mom. But those are just my thoughts.
I actually thought Jonah and Charlotte were so much better this season. Marty was solid. Wendy and Ruby I found to be inconsistent and carrying on or making decisions that seemed to conflict with the strong, intelligent nature of their characters that had been developed.

I realize it's all subjective but I certainly wouldn't agree.
Deadwood
Mad Men
Better Call Saul
Boardwalk Empire
True Detective (even accounting for a weak 2nd season)
I'd put it more in Sons of Anarchy, Justified, Handmaid's Tale, Yellowstone level. Any show that requires that level of temporary suspension of disbelief.

From season one I figured the would end with
Great season thought and Ruth is still the best character on this show. The acting is incredible and the tension was almost uncomfortable at times. Looking forward to where it goes next or if it ends here
I am good with that too.

It feels like this has two more seasons in it.
I’d expect to hear of a Season 4 renewal soon.

Good season.
The minute the brother showed up, it was obvious what was going to happen. I really found the character and his addition to the story line annoying.
The ending was also obvious.
Ruth's an idiot - you would figure after all that's happened, she would really get what's going on and who to side with and who not to.

Still loved the drama and especially tension of the season and acting but writing could've had the same outcomes without being so clumsy.

The thing with the brother, I initially thought he was going to be brought onboard as a sort of "enforcer" because he was so fucking unhinged, but he was ultimately a pest.
