Ive been enjoying the series and waiting for the new season. 👍🏾 Looks like its back for season 4 on Feb 18th 2024. Its will be 10-13 eps down from the 18eps.

The Equalizer returning 2024

New season is just as absurd as the previous. The team is basically all cops now since they rush into dangerous places with weapons drawn, side by side with Dante.

Isn't Goldberg's character in the clear now? He's back to not leaving the bar. I thought the idea was to get him out with the team when they cleared his past.

I like the series but sometimes i wish they'd cut the cute one liners down by half. Other than that, it's a fun little show. I love all the characters especially Queen Latifah and Liza Lapira who plays "Melody".

This show is hilarious. Chinese sleeper cell spies. Biological weapons that attack based on DNA. Not a single member of any form of law enforcement involved in helping resolve. Not even the NYPD outside of a phonecall or two from Dante.

Maybe Robin wouldn't have had to fast & furious her way through a plane taking off if a single jet was launched to intercept. But that would require the military knowing about the massive threat to national security happening in NYC.

Yep, that crazy shit is half the fun. Well that, and watching Thicc Queen Latifah run after and fight bad guys without getting too winded.

Did they know the show was renewed for a season 5 when they filmed the season finale? Sure felt like a series finale.

I feel like these days shows do that because you never know if you're coming back 'til you know.

But I also kinda like having season finales be "final"; because it reminds me of how the UK treats their series/seasons. Plus if a show does get shut down, there are no loose strings.

BTW, I know they've been building up the romance between the leads but I'm not liking it now that it's happening. I honestly thought it was going to be fake like the shootout at the start of the show.

I think the writers forgot Dante had two young children when they just let him bounce to the other side of the country with zero notice.

Yeah, there is zero chemistry/tension between the two actors. Watching them kiss was almost uncomfortable.

They feel like they should only work together/ friends.

I hate to admit this but if I'm honest...while i know it's ACTING...and they are playing characters and not themselves, its always tough for me to believe any romantic role Queen Latifah i in because she isn't into men. She is a good actress who is fun to watch, but she can't act past not being into men, So to me, the chemistry just always seems Off and forced in her romantic roles. I think an actor with more acting skills can easily pull it off without breaking a sweat. Shit, I don't even buy that her and her Ex/Father of her daughter were together on this show.

I'm all for actors getting their bag but the guy playing Dante should know not to wear a $20k watch on set when you play a cop.

New season is a silly as the others. I can't imagine the show will survive past this season.

Spinoff in the loosest possible terms. Any why bother? I feel like I and Robo are the only two people in the country still watching this.

It would probably do better marketed as a fresh, new franchise.

I watch it and enjoy it. I would rather CBS just keep The Equalizer going than start a spinoff.

74 episodes is a good run and it had enough closure to be an ending.

I only watched one episode of this when it first came on, but it would have been cool if they could have gotten Denzel as a guest star before it got axed.
