Re: The Blacklist (NBC) -- Season 7 Thread -- Premieres 10/4/19

Sad news. He was a fun recurring character.

Since this thread was bumped, I recently binged the final 13 episodes of season 7 on Netflix over like 2-3 days. It was just added a few weeks ago. Fell way behind during the season.

The partially animated "season finale" worked IMO for the most part. I know it was produced under some tight deadlines and really difficult circumstances, so the animation quality wasn't that great. But overall it made a normal episode work as a season ender. The interesting thing about the episode was that you really learned how they scenes out of order. So it did make some of the transitions from live footage to animations look awkward.

I did appreciate the Zoom footage of the actors in the beginning explaining what happened. ,

We bailed halfway through the last season. Seemed like they were treading water and getting stale. Did things improve?

The underlying storyline for the season was about Liz's Mom.

But, most of the episodes from last season were self contained Blacklisters of the week.

It started out a little slow for me, but I got into it and finished the season and was satisfied. It did end on a big cliffhanger.

I thought I was in the Black-ish thread (which is also 7 seasons in). I bailed on Blacklist after season 1.

If Reddington and Dembe ever showed up on Black-ish.... oooooooo, watch out!
