Holy heck that was a good fall finale! Of course I had suspicions early on, and then about 15 minutes to go I called the twist to my wife who said “No way.”, only for me to be proven right.
Regardless, Annie W. brings the goods again. They should give out a lifetime achievement award for best actress to play crazy psychos. Then again, that’s probably not an award you want sitting on your shelf.
Of course, now we have to wait until February 23 for the resolution, which looks tense!

Ridiculous. All of it.
Sure, local police rookies having personal contact with a serial killer. The FBI would be all over this.
Anyways, for what it was it was good. I saw the ending coming a mile away.

Chen's in some serious trouble! Quite the mid season cliffhanger.
And, yeah, I actually called it at the beginning of the episode. But that was a very disturbing episode. The character of the female serial killer was so well written and acted that she really creeped me out and made me uncomfortable. To me, this almost seems like The Rookie version of 3XK.
This show has definitely lived up to my expectations after a so-so start at the beginning of the first season.

Didn't they say that someone was going to die in the episode? I guessed the lawyer BF before it started and thought I was right when he was passed out on pills and booze.
Could anyone tell me where I've seen the guy killer before? It was bugging me all through the episode and it never clicked.

That was Michael Cassidy. He played Jimmy Olsen in Man of Steel. I guess he’s best know from the TBS show Men at Work. Most of stuff in the past has been one shot appearances.

It was a good mid season finale. Had some creepy elements. But that was so telegraphed at the end that Chen’s date was the actual killer.

I, too, saw the twist coming a mile away, but it was still a fun ride.

Thank you!! I never would have recalled Men at Work on my own; especially with his hair much shorter. I really enjoyed that show when it was on.

That was a friggin awesome episode !
Only thing, im such a fan of Annie Wersching, that she can go around killing and manipulating as much as she wants as far as i'm concerned. definitely didn't see her as the baddie

Interesting... Pete Davidson to play Nathan Fillion’s half brother.

These officers really need to talk to their union rep about the unsafe working conditions at this precinct.

Underwhelmed by that second part. I’d have appreciated it more if Chen had of died. Not because I dislike the character, but because the entire thing came off as unbelievable.
Also, you can’t trust psycho jail lady, but something hasn’t sat right with me since the Detective was introduced...

Considering all they go through on a regular basis, I am really going to have to reevaluate my opinion of cops as jerks who park in shady spots and then wait to hand out chicken shit tickets to hard-working taxpayers.

Entertaining but this show has well pasted the point where anything in it is based in reality. Are we supposed to forget the show is named The Rookie when he's pressing a convicted serial killer for info and offering deals for the full of the LAPD? Something tells me that job would be done by a detective.
