Good.
This season is still "broadcast", so hopefully if it gets a third it might be a bit more edgier. Hope this comes in the full season all at once

Amazon Prime has a deal now, -for the next few days, -where you can get 2 months of their Paramount+ Channel for 99 cents a month. They have similar deals for AMC+, Discovery+, Starz, Epix and a few others.

First episode was terrific. 2 random f-bombs as well just to remind you it's not on broadcast. But very solid start, reviews say it is terrrific.

Which would be weird since the show was nearly complete with season 2 before they “announced” it was going to Paramount plus.

Slick opening episode!

Ahh so second scene might have been added later and first time was just dubbed. Doesnt need to have F bombs but I find it an amazingly compelling and sometimes unsettling show,.

Spoiler:
I do like the dark humor they're bringing to the show, -the pop-up book opening, and that weird little preview of coming attractions after the ep narrated by the demon. Clearly the producers are having fun.

I was completely shocked that
Michael Emerson is still the best part of this show.

Re: Evil (Now on Paramount +)
Episode 2 was pretty good. The cast seems much more relaxed/into it this year - it's clear everyone involved is having fun. I don't know if we've talked about it before, but it's refreshing to see a TV series where the Catholic Church isn't portrayed as the "bad guys" and the writers actually seem to have their dogma down. So many shows (even good ones) don't seem to have a clue when it comes to Christianity and the Bible, but the writers on this show get it (mostly) right.
I love that they were practicing confession...I wonder if priests in training do that (I'm guessing they do)? The "Scarface" joke made me laugh outloud.

Not sure why Leland suddenly decided to drop Kristen's mom. His behavior is sometimes so meticulously manipulative, and sometimes just seems erratic.
I guess the stuff with the guy seeing the angel will be continued, it was left unresolved.
I like the new nun character, I hope she sticks around.

This week's episode (S2E3) starts with some very brief nudity, taking more advantage of not being on the broadcast channel.
Awesome!
BTW, here is Katja Herbers last week on Late Show with Stephen Colbert:

Paramount+’s supernatural drama will pause for a four-week, midseason break at the end of July, the streaming service announced Friday.
Episode 6 of the current season will begin streaming on Sunday, July 25, as usual. But after that, Season 2 will go on hold until Aug. 29, when Episode 7 will kick off the second half of Season 2. All told, Season 2 will consist of 13 episodes.
Not great for me, since I had a discount deal going until mid-August. I'll wait on the back half until they're all available.

Re: Evil (Now on Paramount +)
BTW today's episode is pretty awesome. I don't really "scare" in movies so horror is not big for me. (I will react to well done jump cuts) but there is just something about EVIL that is just undeniably creepy and unsettling.

Re: Evil (Now on Paramount +)
It does nothing of the kind. I generally pay for a month or two, binge all the shows I want, then quit. All strategies to spread out episodes merely ensure I pay later rather than now, and make a once a year binge more likely than a twice a year binge because there won't be enough completed content due to spreading out of episodes. If these services prefer that, more power to them. If they don't like it, and I'm sure it's a minority of subscribers that do as I do, then they will either switch to minimum duration plans (where you must buy 3, 6, or 12 months up front) or they curtail series availability. Watch within 3-6 months of premiere or it goes away, something like that. The problem they have is that a demand for 6 months up front, rather than 1, is quite likely to get them 0 instead from many subscribers. Again, if additional marginal revenue doesn't matter to them, more power to them.

In terms of picture quality, I wish they'd tone down the teal.

Re: Evil (Now on Paramount +)
Great first half of the season. It's really well written and characters seem quite authentic and act reasonably in outlandish situations. Very bold show.
Preview for the second half of the season looks like they ramp up the "adultness" quite a bit.
One of my favorite shows currently.
In terms of picture quality just got an OLED and it looks amazeballs.
