AV Club actually gave it a fairy favorable review. It is not the second coming of sliced bread but sounds like a fun and silly show that will be easy to watch. I am actually excited that this is now airing as for some reason I thought it was due to hit Peacock sometime in December.

I’m halfway through it. I don’t think it will be for everyone, hence the mixed reviews. I find it kind of amusing. It’s a funny way to comment on income inequality and privilege by riffing on the original concept and sitcom situations.
Don’t expect much Zack and Kelly (at least so far). The Franklin & Bash reference was funny.
The party episode with the Euphoria spoof...

I'm through 2 episodes. It's pretty amusing, but I can see some here not liking this. It's both a revival and a parody of the original show. It also gets a little political too. Mack is basically a clone of his Dad.
I'm pretty sure Zack and Kelly's scenes in the Pilot were shot later on when they became available. I recall they put out footage of the show before Gosselaar and Thiessen officially signed on.
I do think they go a little overboard with the wink wink references to the original like Time out and Daisy using the old school brick phone that Zack had. I did
at the Franklin and Bash reference.
I had to look it up, but the trans character Lexi was the little boy in the NBC show Champions from a few years ago.

Yea, I just saw the trans girl as a boy in that Disney+ Magic Camp movie earlier in the year. So the transition must’ve been pretty recent.
Wrapped it up. Zack and Kelly are in 3 episodes, which I think was mentioned earlier in the thread from the trades. Lisa was like a 30 second cameo. Screech (and Kevin!) have their whereabouts mentioned.
I’d watch another season.

There’s reference to Belding, but no appearance. Nothing New Class related, at least as far as I could tell.

I was already in my 20’s by the time the original series came out but I have to say I like this quite a bit. Yes it parodies the old show, but in a good way. I’d go as far to say as it’s one of the best new shows this season.
My only real complaint is the Peacock app itself. It’s horrible on every platform I’ve tried. I know the show is available in 1080p/5.1 but there’s no way for me to watch it that way on like the 5 different streaming devices that has the app.

I’m through 9 episodes now. I think this new cast has really grown and developed some chemistry.
I loved episode 8 which primarily focused on the old gang and also played the old theme. Although the digital inserts of Toddman into the old scenes looked terrible
And yeah the Lisa cameo was very short.
I have to laugh at how they made Jessie’s husband one of those artistic douche bags.

Mack: What's coronavirus?
I finished the season tonight. Overall, I enjoyed it. The episodes were fun, light, had heart and also poked fun at the original show. And they didn't try to stuff nostalgia down our throats with the old cast. I think they made enough appearances where they didn't become the focus.
I hope this gets a 2nd season. I'd like to see this cast get another shot as working together.

Don't watch this and don't ever plan to, but it is in the news this weekend because there is an "offensive" joke about Selena Gomez's kidney problems in an episode.
Of course, there really isn't an offensive joke about Selena Gomez. Rather, two characters are shown talking about Selena Gomez, and the joke is how stupid the characters are because what they are saying about Gomez's kidney transplant is so moronic.
Anyways, some woke morans started an online petition to get the show cancelled because no one can be allowed to make a joke you don't like.
NBC Universal immediately apologized profusely and donated money to some charity because you aren't really sorry unless you give somebody some money.
When I see stories like this, I always think of that Joan Rivers documentary, where she tells a joke about Helen Keller and someone in the audience is offended, and she just shouts the guy down calling him a stupid asshole.

As a fan of SBTB in any form, I find this very mediocre. It's amusing at times, but I don't really like any of the new characters except maybe Jamie and Principal Todd. The rest are pretty obnoxious. I like the throwbacks to the old show, but even I felt embarrassed at some of it. I'll continue to watch if it continues due to loyalty, but I don't think I'll ever be counting the days until the next season.

Re: Saved by the Bell (Peacock) -- reboot series
Nice, any episodes on a show like this that are competition episodes is usually a ton of fun. One other thing I like about this revival is that the OG cast members that they were able to get for the revival do seem to be enjoying their time on the show. Behind the scenes it might be a completely different story but what you see on the show looks like actors who are happy to be back at Bayside High.
Also, I have been re-watching the OG Saved By The Bell on Netflix and it has been so long that I did not realize that in the earlier seasons Mario Lopez and Mark G's characters were constantly competing against each other. I plan to continue to finish up a complete re-watch by years end. What I remember the most are the eps where they had summer jobs at a resort, so those will be fun to revisit.

I read they plan to do an episode honoring Dustin Diamond. That should be emotional.
As teased in the first season finale, they will address Covid. It sounds like the kids of Bayside are coming back to school post quarantine.
