Both this and Wipeout are filmed in the exact same location not far from here. I got to peek at the Holey Moley set and it sure is more impressive during the night time

Enjoyed it last night!

Rob bases his whole schtick on Fred Willard's judge from Best in Show.

I didn't watch the first season, but I recorded last night's episode and watched it today while I rode the exercise bike. It's a perfect show to watch while I work out. I couldn't believe that they set contestants on fire while they try to putt. I set up a season pass on my DVR for it.

I prefer even bigger balls! - I miss "Wipeout". (The local ABC station for a couple of years used to air repeats early Sat and Sun mornings - they stopped last fall. Now I have watch them on PlutoTv app which theres a whole channel devoted to Wipeout. They even show the ones from Australia - Europe and Canada.)
Update - re-read some of the earlier posts - glad to see it coming back later this summer.

Re: Holey Moley -- Yup, it’s definitely Summer

Spoiler:
We are only 4 eps in and another show with a contestant who scored a hole in one, which is just so awesome. I also love that this was a hole in one on the final hole which is a boss move. Nice that both contestants did not have to run over those giant bouncy balls almost guaranteeing they would fall in the water. Also, the contestant who was able to sprint past the porta-potty obstacles was freaking awesome as everyone seems to get knocked in the water on the hole.

Actually, the contestant who won did another impressive thing earlier in the show by making two 12ft (or is it 15ft) putts to break the tie and move onto the next round. Another thing I enjoyed was seeing the ball bounce right off the course and at times eaten by the pop-up gophers was worth a chuckle or two.

I also like the dude last week who tried to push back some of the people in the outhouses so he could avoid ending up in the drink but ultimately failed.

So, this is me being shallow but the golf instagram influencer from Salt Lake who won the episode was really cute, I totally get why she has a fair amount of followers on insta and I say this as someone who has no presence on instagram. Also, the woman from Florida who wore the short skirt was hella cute and wow...she must get hit on all day to the point where it exhausts her. Again, me being shallow but I admit if I was on a course with her I might be driven to distraction looking at her.

Finally, a really cool behind the scenes article/interview on Holey Moley II on the reality blurred site from May 28th. It is a great peek behind the curtain and explains why Steph is animated, and some of the banter you hear on the air between Joe and Rob is not 100% scripted.

Worth a read.

ETA: Spoilerized a good chunk of my comments in case folks have not watched the latest ep. I mention who won but that is vague enough and how she won is now in spoiler tags.

ETA: Hope this works, link to the article: holey-moley-2-behind-scenes-questions-answers/

Re: Holey Moley -- Yup, it’s definitely Summer

So Holey Moley continues to bring it...enjoyable episode last night. Some impressive putts and even more impressive is that both players made it past the porta potty gauntlet without ending up in the drink. In fact, I almost told myself they increased the time that contestants can run across but the reality is that both players were smart and immediately sprinted across which is just as great to watch as seeing folks fall into the water. So many players over think and end up with a delayed start running at the beginning and it is usually that wasted second that gets them hurled into the water.

I'm loving it more because the holes are better, but Riggle seems to be in the IDGAF, I'm gonna say the craziest shit camp. He's said some stuff this year that I'm like how are they able to get away with this.

This show is so much more off the rails than it was last season.

Agree. Riggle and Joe could commentate paint drying and it would be entertaining. Letting them ad-lib and play off each other makes the show.

Yeah, this season has been pretty great. Riggle getting cold in the middle of the night shoot and needing to bundle up was great. I do wish they were a bit more consistent with airing the episodes, I think they only aired 2 in July.

Joe was straight up cracking up at times when Rob was doing his shtick during last weeks episode...I do love that the show runner(s) decided to leave those moments in. I also love how excited they get when they see a genuinely cool putt take place on the course. The show continues to deliver but my least favorite ep of the season was the The Bachelor/Bachelorette cross-promo episode. Even a weak episode of Holey Moley is still entertaining.

I'm still loving this. Rob Riggle is an American treasure. I didn't watch season one and I can't find it anywhere. It's not even on available to buy on Vudu or iTunes.

According to JustWatch DirecTV has both seasons- don't know how accurate that is.

Re: Holey Moley -- Yup, it’s definitely Summer

I was watching a "danger Act" on this week's "America's Got Talent" which involved the performer having to free himself while the stand he was handcuffed to was ablaze. He was slathered in protective goo and a couple of the judges were freaking out and I thought "They actually set contestants on fire on 'Holey Moley'"!

Re: Holey Moley -- Yup, it’s definitely Summer

Nice thread bump, and you will now get to see more posts where I ogle the women contestants, lol! Half-kidding, I am usually not that guy but hey, sometimes eye-candy ends up on this show. Wonder if they just stick with the formula that to this point still works (having Rob and Joe in the announcers box and Jeannie Mai on the course to interview the contestants), or make some tweaks. Anyway, can't wait!

Re: Holey Moley -- Yup, it’s definitely Summer

I just started watching old episodes of this on Hulu. Probably the best host line-up of any of these shows, just a thoroughly entertaining combo.
