Season 2 has almost doubled season 1 in total viewers per episode

This episode almost made me feel sorry for Nate and Cal.

Brutal scene at the end, felt really sorry for the wife and the older son, and maybe a little it for Nate as you could see a bit why he is so fucked up.
It's so hard to watch though especially knowing there are really people in this world like Rue. It does not in any way reflect my life experience though.

Yeah, Cassie is insane, but lord knows I wouldn't have resisted, especially at that age.

Well… I think Zendaya just locked in her second Emmy win with this episode. Wow.
When she smashed through that door with the back her head.
The unloading on Jules was brutal.
Just a rollercoaster of an episode.

Running from the cops with withdrawal diarrhea looks as bad as it sounds
Safe to say we know which episode Zendaya will be submitting for the Emmy awards.
Loved everyone’s face when Rue ratted out Cassie

That was painful to watch.
The drug woman is just pure evil.
Felt terrible for Jules, and somewhat bad for Cassie, not that she really deserves a lot of sympathy, but I can't help it.

Glad I stuck with the show, that was a very riveting hour.

Maybe this has been confirmed elsewhere but the showrunner and writer has to be pulling from real life experiences probably in the sibling role. This episode was raw and brutal and completely on the nose on the depths of drug addiction. Such a sad and painful show to watch. I am not quite sure why I subject myself to it.

That episode should answer all the criticism of the show glorifying drug use.

Fantastic episode, so raw and brutal, very hard to watch. Zendaya was giving everything, but the rest of the cast, did a pretty good job, too.

While I don't necessarily want to keep seeing Zendaya as Rue suffer, I hope she doesn't go to rehab just yet. This is not rock bottom, as anyone who's watched more than 2 episodes of Intervention can tell you.

Her dealer said it. There's still a way she can make money to feed her habit, though I hope it doesn't come to that, it would be a step further towards rock bottom.

Yeah, kinda what I was getting at but I didn't want to come right out and say it. If you watch Intervention, almost every female addict does some kind of sex work to get by. They euphemize the hell out of it, either they have a live-in much older "sugar daddy", or they talk about "meeting a client", but it ain't called the world's oldest profession for no reason.

Whoever wrote the episode review of this episode for The AV club wrote something like" Rue goes to Laurie, who helps her out of withdrawal" and that was it for that part.
I had to read that sentence a few times to make sure I didn't miss something, because whoever wrote it clearly did.

Would seem to me that Rue will likely start shooting heroin now and they have hinted broadly that she will look to sex work but maybe they go in a different direction. Back to rehab or long boring "meetings" would sort of be a cop out. She is far from realizing that she is at the bottom.

Re: Euphoria (HBO) -- S: Zendaya -- premieres 6/16/19
I got the impression Laurie was cleaning her up and getting her addicted to start trafficking her. She told Rue she'd sell her to some sick people if she screwed her over and told her there's other ways to make the money back. Think Rue realized that and ran. Seemed like the pet birds were making noise at just the right times too, either to cover up weird stuff happening inside or to alert Laurie and her goons? Plus, there seemed to be somebody behind that locked door trying to get out? Other trafficked girls? Or was Rue just tweaking and imagining that?
Regardless, tense episode all the way through.

This episode was a rollercoaster. That last half of the episode was depressing. I was waiting for Cassie to step in the piss puddle when she came in since it was still there that morning.

Can’t wait for the play next week.

I'm dying for backstory on Cassie's mom. When is she ever NOT buzzed?
