Netflix has announced the episode titles and cast for “Black Mirror’s” fourth season, which will premiere on the streaming service later this year.
Since “Black Mirror” is an anthology series, each episode is designed as a standalone story. Each one explores the theme of “collective unease with the modern world,” depicting various new ways advanced technology transforms lives – from rating every interaction to uploading one’s consciousness after death to virtually live forever.
The episodes listed below are in alphabetical order and do not necessarily reflect the order they will be presented in when available for streaming. Series creator Charlie Brooker has written every episode of the fourth season.

re: Black Mirror -- British anthology series -- Channel 4 / Netflix
Jesse Plemons = Meth Damon from Breaking Bad
Cristin Milioti = Mom from HIMYM
Jimmi Simpson = McPoyle on Always Sunny
John Hillcoat directed The Road and Lawless (and The Proposition)
David Slade directed Hard Candy and 30 Days of Night
And Rosemarie Dewitt always struck me as one of those people expected to be big but never quite made it.

Jesus, Crocodile was the most fucked up episode of any season so far. Too dark to even be entertaining, really. Hopefully it’ll turn out to be the only low point of the season. USS Callister was really good, and Arkangel was decent. I’ll catch the final 3 tonight.

I love Black Mirror but I feel like they're starting to run out of fresh concepts and are recycling a few too many ideas in slightly different scenarios.
As such, I'm a little mixed on the Callister episode but Milioti fucking rocked in it.

Ahhhh
Metalhead just looked goofy in spots, took some cues from Tetsuo which was cool but I wish they shot on grittier cameras.

Re: Black Mirror -- British anthology series -- Channel 4 / Netflix
Through the first three so far ...
I thought Arkangel was the darkest, but maybe that’s because I can totally see my wife doing something like that. She is constantly checking where the kids are on their phones and creeping on social media.
Jodie Foster did a great job directing that one. I really thought it would end with
but instead
was royally fucked up. I had to cave and look up the actress to see where I knew her from — Mad Men.
Crocodile was just dark. Why the title though? I didn’t get the connection. I think there were some social issues to be explored that they left on the table in lieu of just telling a messed up story: private companies (insurance) coercing people to give access to their thoughts, the security of the information we do share, etc.
USS Callister was pretty enjoyable and I liked the cast. The video game concept has been done a few times, but this was a bit of a different perspective.
Hoping to wrap up the last three tomorrow night.

No way we'd do a *direct sequel* with same characters unless it was, say, a graphic novel.

^ Ah, gotcha.
Although there was some nice Easter egg stuff in
that talked about the early tech used
I almost thought that one was a prequel of sorts until it wasn't.
As far as Crocodile as a title - I initially thought it was going to be about the drug that causes people's skin to rot off and look like crocodile hide. Glad it had nothing to do with that.

Re: Black Mirror -- British anthology series -- Channel 4 / Netflix
I figured Crocodile was just named after crocodiles, they latch on, drag you down, and they simply do not let go which is pretty descriptive of the plot.
I thought it did a nice job of just exploring the side effects of this particular technology. Something so incredibly innocent leading to an inevitable chain reaction. And it is also the most beautifully shot episode yet.
