Hulu has the first couple of seasons. Maybe three?

Maybe Buff Bagwell was more style than substance though good he is probably clean and sober now.

I couldn't believe Bagwell becoming a gigolo and then falling in love with one of his clients, lol.

It's nice to see Buff Bagwell is still alive which is almost always not the case in most episodes for this show. It was great the show covered DDP helping him get cleaned up and also his "American Males" tag team partner.

Re: Dark Side of the Ring on Viceland

Did Michael Hayes refuse to do the show or it was too personal to talk about Terry Gordy?

Re: Dark Side of the Ring on Viceland

I wonder what the real beef is between Hulk Hogan and Brutus the "Barber" Beefcake?

I had no idea Disciple from NWO was Beefcake

No internet back then to look him up and I did not watch the shows religiously

I think it really is Beefcake’s wife. I don’t think Greg Valentine speaks to Brutus anymore either and he blames her as well.

Harley Race or King Harley Race when I was a kid thought he was the old and boring guy in the WWF in the 80's though he was a legend in the business.

When I went through my wrestling phase when I was a kid, I used to watch the b-league wrestling late at night... Harley Race, Ric Flair, Bulldog Bob Brown, Marty Jeanetty (before he went batshit crazy)... I think it was on locally after Saturday Night Live.

And speaking of batshit crazy, I also used to watch Dr. Gene Scott at night, too.

Re: Dark Side of the Ring on Viceland

It does not sound like a B league with all that talent

Was it WCW or NWA?

I really don't remember. By B-league, I meant it wasn't the WWF, which was the big one at that time with Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, and Rowdy Roddy Piper.

Looked some stuff up with google and found this:

https://www.kayfabememories.com/Regi...states/cs6.htm

Looks like it was NWA.

On August 8, 1985, Ric Flair defended The NWA World Title in Kansas City against Harley Race with "Bulldog" Bob Brown as special Referee. Brown and Race had been a tag team off and on for years. Bob Brown turned on Harley Race in that match and cost Race a victory against Flair.

On August 15, 1985, Bob Brown and Marty Jannetty put the Central States Tag Team Titles on the line against Brad and Bart Batten, The Batten Twins. In that match, Bob Brown refused to tag in. Later that night, there was a Battle Royal. I don’t remember who all was in the Battle Royal, but Mike George, Dave (DJ) Peterson, Mr. Pogo, Art Crews, Gary Royal, Denny Brown, Akio Sato, Coyote (Scott Hall) and Rufus R. Jones were such some of the other people on the card that night. The last two people in the ring were Marty Jannetty and Bob Brown. They shook hands and everyone thought that we had co-winners for the Battle Royal. Marty turned his back on Brown and raised his hand in the air, and Bob Brown dropkicked Jannetty over the top rope and Bob Brown won the Battle Royal.
I remember watching these matches on tv, when Bob Brown went heel.

I remember Rufus R. Jones and Sheik Abdullah the Great, too.

Re: Dark Side of the Ring on Viceland

Im watching the Sandman episode right now. It'a nice to see hear from some ECW personalities that have been absent from any WWE produced documentaries such as Todd Gordon, Bill Allfonso, and Sabu. Its kind of funny Sabu said he trusted him during his matches even though he was drunk the whole time. He did give credit to Nancy Benoit (Woman) in the episode which was pretty cool.

Re: Dark Side of the Ring on Viceland

This is starting next month:

In the late '90s, three years after achieving the unthinkable by becoming the biggest wrestling company in the world, WCW would self-destruct.

Now, the accusations fly in a wild, probing, and star-studded investigation into the demise of Ted Turner’s WCW.

Premiering June 4, 10P ET on VICE TV.

I've been catching up on the season. So far, so good.

I think it was in the Beefcake episode... saw a stock photo of my old elementary school gym teacher... Tito Santana... El Matador!

I feel like there's going to be so much finger-pointing in the fall of WCW... So many egos involved..

Re: Dark Side of the Ring on Viceland

Vince McMahon is such a piece of shit he destroyed the careers of the former ECW and WCW wrestlers that tried to join the WWE roster post the 2001 merger,

That was a cool show on the Sandman and Sherrie Martell and Chris James the weeks before.

I will watch the WCW show but it seems like what else can you cover or talk about since the demise of WCW has been discussed and covered in almost of of the A&E WWE shows and Dark Side of the Ring.

If I was in the WCW I would be pissed the WWE keeps rubbing it in that they destroyed the WCW with all of these shows.
